Thoughts on Mira?

If bub is a girl, she will most likely be [name_f]Mae[/name_f] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], but I’d like to have a couple of solid back ups/future sibling ideas.
[name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] is our only agreed upon back up.

Anyway, hubs had suggested a few names and I try and seriously consider them before saying no haha, one of which is [name_f]Mira[/name_f].

We’re not concerned about it ‘going’ with our others names, but I want to know what everyone’s general thoughts are on the name.

We might do [name_f]Mira[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] or something like [name_f]Mira[/name_f] [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] or [name_f]Mira[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f].

Bonus question for Aussies: [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think the similarity to the word mirror is a problem?

I like [name_f]Mira[/name_f]. But it probably is too close to mirror in [name_m]Oz[/name_m]. I wonder if it could be pronounced somewhere in between [name_f]Mira[/name_f] and [name_f]Meera[/name_f] instead of [name_f]Mirra[/name_f]. Or maybe it couid be short for [name_f]Miranda[/name_f], [name_f]Mirabella[/name_f] or [name_f]Miriam[/name_f]…? If it’s only [name_f]Mira[/name_f], I think a consonant starting middle is best.

I love the name [name_f]Mira[/name_f], but I like it pronounced ‘my-ra’ best. I do like ‘meer-a’ too, however. [name_f]Mira[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is beautiful! You could even spell it [name_f]Myra[/name_f] if you wanted it to be pronounced like ‘my-ra’. [name_f]Mae[/name_f] and [name_f]Mira[/name_f] are adorable together. I prefer [name_f]Mira[/name_f] to [name_f]Ella[/name_f].

[name_f]Mira[/name_f] is beautiful! I’ve considered it seriously on many occasions. [name_f]Mira[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is darling!

I really love [name_f]Mae[/name_f] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], but I am a big fan or [name_f]Mira[/name_f] too. I can’t speak to the pronunciation where you are, but I think [name_f]Mira[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is great and I also like [name_f]Mira[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_f]Mira[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f].

Funny - reading your post I was thinking ‘lovely but sounds like mirror’ (Aussie here :D).
Although I don’t necessarily see this as a problem as my next association was [name_f]Mira[/name_f] Sorvino, which is always clearly pronounced as Meer-ah.

I agree with others that [name_f]Mira[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is a great combo.

I love [name_f]Mira[/name_f]. It was a name I suggested to my sister for my niece, which she liked, but went with another name, unfortunately. I’ve kept it on my list. I love the meaning of it.

I like [name_f]Mira[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f], [name_f]Mira[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f], and [name_f]Mira[/name_f] [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] from your names.
