We are expecting baby no. 2, a sibling to [name_u]Jem[/name_u] [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m]. We are team green so we need to have a boy name AND a girl name ready to go, which honestly sounds super stressful! Choosing our son’s name was easy, but apparently the more kids you have, the harder it gets…
I like short, zesty names that are a little unusual. My husband is fond of traditional names like [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], [name_m]Fred[/name_m] and [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]. Some names that we both like are:
I think [name_u]Kit[/name_u] makes an awesome brother name for [name_u]Jem[/name_u]. Other ideas:

[name_m]Arthur[/name_m]: [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] is very handsome. It does feel a little traditional next to [name_u]Jem[/name_u], so I’d suggest giving [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] a spunky nickname if you were to use it.
[name_m]Monty[/name_m]: 100% my favorite out of your list. I love [name_m]Monty[/name_m] (I have it as a [name_f]Montserrat[/name_f] nickname), and it sounds so handsome next to [name_u]Jem[/name_u]!
[name_m]Jago[/name_m]: I like [name_m]Jago[/name_m], though I prefer [name_m]Iago[/name_m].
[name_m]Hart[/name_m]: Not sure about usability, since it’s very similar to “heart”.
[name_m]Saul[/name_m]: Such a dignified name. I like it with [name_m]Saul[/name_m].
[name_m]Magnus[/name_m]: I’m not sure how I feel about [name_m]Magnus[/name_m], but I do like it with [name_u]Jem[/name_u]. Have you considered [name_m]Angus[/name_m]?
[name_u]Rue[/name_u]: I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_u]Rue[/name_u] on a boy. [name_u]Jem[/name_u] and [name_u]Rue[/name_u] are beautiful together. I don’t know if you’re planning to have more after this little one, but the three-letter name pattern might box you in for a third child.
[name_m]Lev[/name_m]: Not my personal favorite (too similar to “leave” for my taste), but there’s something about [name_m]Lev[/name_m]. It’s short, sweet, and concise, but still has a lot of personality.
[name_u]Jules[/name_u]: I love [name_u]Jules[/name_u] on a boy, however it sounds a lot like jewels. With [name_u]Jem[/name_u], the two together would be “gem and jewels” which I’m not sure was intentional or not- I’m still deciding if I love this or if it’s a little cheesy?
[name_u]Kit[/name_u]: The equal of [name_u]Jem[/name_u] in just about every way. I love this.
[name_m]Emrys[/name_m]: Beautiful name, but maybe a little close to [name_u]Jem[/name_u] with the “em” beginning.
[name_u]Arlo[/name_u]: [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] feels a little trendy next to your other choices, but it’s still a very cute name. I like [name_u]Jem[/name_u] and [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] together.

My first suggestion was going to be [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]. I think that is short and zesty, but also traditional enough to make you both happy, but I see it is on your husband’s side.
