so here’s a list of my female honor names, the story behind them will be in the drop down box

[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] [name_u]Blue[/name_u] [name_u]Marie[/name_u]

[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] is after my Australian Grandmother, her name means golden, and [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] means “the golden one”

[name_u]Blue[/name_u] is after my American grandmother, her favorite color is blue

[name_f]Selena[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] [name_u]Bear[/name_u]

[name_f]Selena[/name_f] is after my dad, when I was little he was gone a lot so he told me to look at the moon and he would be looking at it too.

[name_f]Catherine[/name_f] is after my late, great, best friend, [name_f]Caitlyn[/name_f].

[name_u]Bear[/name_u] is after my mom, it’s always been her dream to see a bear in the wild.

[name_f]Caterina[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]

[name_f]Caterina[/name_f] is after my best friend again (you might know, I have a tone of names to honor her)

[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] is after one of my great-great-aunts, I grew up hearing stories about her and my great-great-grandmother.

[name_u]Leigh[/name_u] is after my mother, her names starts with [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]

[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Ines[/name_f] [name_u]Marie[/name_u]

[name_f]Flora[/name_f] is after my mother, she loves flowers and wanted to work in a flower nursery but my dad won’t let her

[name_f]Ines[/name_f] is after my aunt who died when I was 8, [name_f]Ines[/name_f] shares a meaning with her name

see [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] [name_u]Blue[/name_u] [name_u]Marie[/name_u]

[name_f]Philippa[/name_f] [name_f]Megan[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f]

[name_f]Philippa[/name_f] is after my Australian grandmother, she loves horses and [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] means “lover of horses”

[name_f]Megan[/name_f] is after my grandmother, she’s always wanted a daughter named [name_f]Meg[/name_f]

[name_u]Jersey[/name_u] [name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]

[name_u]Jersey[/name_u] is after my dad, he’s a semi truck driver and the first time I went on the road with him we went to [name_u]New[/name_u] [name_u]Jersey[/name_u].

[name_f]Kate[/name_f] is again after my best friend

Some of the individual elements are way stronger than others.

  • I would say prioritize variations of [name_f]Caitlyn[/name_f], as she seems to be the person you want to honor the most
  • Of the names in honor of your dad, I recommend [name_f]Selena[/name_f]. That story is sweet
  • I would use [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] as the name after your mom
  • Did you have a strong connection to the aunt [name_f]Ines[/name_f] is after? [name_u]Or[/name_u] is that more someone your are honoring just to honor?
  • It is also worth noting that [name_f]Ines[/name_f] and all of the [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] variations mean pure. So an honor name after [name_f]Caitlyn[/name_f] can serve double duty if desired
  • [name_u]Marie[/name_u] is one of those names where if it fits, use it, but it isn’t a priority
  • [name_f]Megan[/name_f] could be nice, especially if that is your paternal grandmother and she only had sons
  • [name_u]Bear[/name_u], [name_u]Blue[/name_u], [name_f]Belle[/name_f], and [name_u]Jersey[/name_u] all feel far weaker connection wise

[name_f]Ines[/name_f] is a pretty important honor actually, kind of like [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], I’ve grown up hearing stories about her.

and my grandma doesn’t all have sons, she has two boys and a girl, but she wanted another girl.

[name_u]Bear[/name_u] is the only honor name for my mom me and my mom can agree on right now, she loves the idea of using [name_u]Bear[/name_u] to honor her.

[name_u]New[/name_u] [name_u]Jersey[/name_u] holds a lot of special memories for me and my dad so [name_u]Jersey[/name_u] is also pretty important.

[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] [name_u]Blue[/name_u] [name_u]Marie[/name_u] is sparky, elegant and charming

[name_f]Selena[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] [name_u]Bear[/name_u] flows beautifully and feels meaningful

[name_f]Caterina[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] has flair and unexpectedness

[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Ines[/name_f] [name_u]Marie[/name_u] is bright and pretty

[name_f]Phillipa[/name_f] [name_f]Megan[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f] feels quite regal and charming

[name_u]Jersey[/name_u] [name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] has a different vibe to the others, but I imagine these might not all be used, so it’s not a big deal. It has balance and freshness

I like the creativeness of your honours

I like all of them and I love the stories behind them as well.

I feel [name_f]Caitlyn[/name_f] seems to be someone you most want to honour so prioritise her, but overall the names are super pretty and have some really sweet meanings.

It was hard for me to not put an honor name for her in every combo.
