Whoa! [name]Long[/name] list, indeed! Some beautiful names here.
[name]Magnolia[/name] / [name]Aurelia[/name] / [name]Cecelia[/name] / [name]Octavia[/name] / [name]Cordelia[/name] / [name]Ophelia[/name] / [name]Antonia[/name] - these names are similarly regal, feminine, and strong, but [name]Magnolia[/name] has a nice Southern (USAian) flare that gives it more character. [name]Aurelia[/name] can be a bit of a tongue twister, and it’s a hard name for kidlets to say (not that that’s overly important). [name]Cecelia[/name] has a really unfortunate meaning, but it’s got a nice sound to it. Have you also considered [name]Cecily[/name]? Less common, has a nice feminine sweetness to it. [name]Octavia[/name] is more lovely than all of the others combined. So unusual! But beautiful. [name]Cordelia[/name] and [name]Ophelia[/name] have the Shakespearean resonance, so that’s something. I wish I could love [name]Ophelia[/name], but it reminds me of all those awful words that end in “philia.” Also consider [name]Ofelia[/name], either pronounced the English way or oh-[name]FAY[/name]-li-ya or oh-FELL-i-ya
[name]Leila[/name] or [name]Layla[/name] / Lailia / [name]Lilia[/name] / [name]Isla[/name] - not a huge fan, kind of insubstantial sounding…too soft with all those L’s.
[name]Arabella[/name] - Princessy, but potentially spunky? IDK. Not a big fan.
[name]Aurora[/name] - Pretty, slightly hard to say, beautiful meaning. Cute nickname potential.
[name]Gabriella[/name] / [name]Alessandra[/name] - Pretty, feminine, graceful. Were I to see either of these on paper, I’d assume Latina or Hispanic child.
[name]Charlotte[/name] - Sooooooooooo popular
[name]Genevieve[/name] - [name]One[/name] of my favourites! Strong meaning, familiar but not too common.
[name]Linnea[/name] - Not a favourite of mine.
[name]Penelope[/name] / [name]Clementine[/name] / [name]Felicity[/name] - Spunky, quirky, girly, cute! [name]Penelope[/name] or [name]Felicity[/name] [name]Joy[/name] would be such a lovely, cheerful combo.
[name]Adrianna[/name] - Very 80s/90s to me. I knew a billion of 'em growing up.
[name]Marguerite[/name] / [name]Juliet[/name] / [name]Colette[/name] / [name]Madeleine[/name] / [name]Josephine[/name] - French and sophisticated! Cool!
[name]Georgia[/name] - Solid, full of character, pretty.
[name]Primrose[/name] - Eh.
[name]Ivy[/name] - Cool nature name with lots of character.
[name]Athena[/name] - A lot of name to carry! I’m not particularly keen on it myself.
[name]Aster[/name] - Vintage! Funky! Clunky-beautiful! Gorgeous double meaning flower/star. Super underused.
[name]Violet[/name] / [name]Gemma[/name] - Cute, funky, girly. [name]Gemma[/name] is a little insubstantial. Also consider [name]Violetta[/name], perhaps?
[name]Wren[/name] / [name]Lavender[/name] / [name]June[/name] or [name]Junia[/name] / [name]Juniper[/name] - Naturey, trendy, sweet. I love [name]Lavender[/name] personally (ever since [name]Matilda[/name]!). And [name]Juniper[/name], what a name! But if you wander into certain hipster hoods you’ll find a lot of these…especially [name]June[/name], [name]Juniper[/name], and [name]Wren[/name].
[name]Arden[/name] - not into it at all. Disappears into all the “-en” names.
[name]Matilda[/name] / [name]Eloise[/name] / [name]Hazel[/name] / [name]Alice[/name] / [name]Harriet[/name] / [name]Jane[/name] / [name]Lucy[/name] - [name]Lovely[/name] vintage classics that are super cute (and also pretty damn popular and/or are gaining in popularity). My favourite of the bunch is [name]Matilda[/name]. Great nick name potential! [name]Jane[/name] is short and sweet. [name]Hazel[/name]! [name]Lovely[/name] [name]Hazel[/name]! That Z is so zesty.
[name]Do[/name] you have anything else to go on besides this list? People you want to honour? Trends you want to avoid? Meanings you’d like it to have? Etc etc.
