Thoughts on my list!

I’m not expecting-just trying to make a list for a possible future baby girl. We already have [name]Willow[/name] [name]Allegra[/name] and [name]Veda[/name] [name]Juliette[/name], and if we have a boy, his name will be [name]Solomon[/name]. I’d really appreciate your comments on my list. [name]Do[/name] you like the names? [name]Do[/name] they sound nice with [name]Willow[/name] and [name]Veda[/name]? Is there some reason I should eliminate a particular name? [name]Do[/name] you have any suggestions, base on what you see below? What is your top pick??

[name]Marin[/name]- the only name hubby likes
[name]Garnet[/name]- a family name
[name]Tamsin[/name]
[name]Elidi[/name]- this might be my favourite
[name]Artis[/name]- relates to hubby’s mn, [name]Arthur[/name]
[name]Salome[/name]
[name]Thora[/name]
[name]Bethan[/name]- 2nd favourite, will it be mistaken as [name]Beth[/name]-[name]Ann[/name]?
[name]Tressa[/name]- I like that it means third, for our third girl
[name]Raine[/name]- family name. My grandmother, mom and myself have the middle name [name]Lorraine[/name], but I prefer [name]Raine[/name]

Thanks!

Like [name]Elidi[/name], [name]Marin[/name] and [name]Tamsin[/name].

I think [name]Thora[/name] fits with your other names best.

[name]Solomon[/name] is perfect with [name]Willow[/name] and [name]Veda[/name]! From your girls’ options, I really like [name]Tamsin[/name], [name]Marin[/name] and [name]Salome[/name].

I like [name]Marin[/name] (although I prefer the [name]Maren[/name] spelling) and [name]Elidi[/name] from your list. [name]Raine[/name] would be a quirky mn choice.

[name]Saskia[/name]

My favorites are [name]Elidi[/name], [name]Marin[/name], and [name]Tressa[/name]. I really like the third daughter connection. It’s cute n

[name]Marin[/name] - I actually like this name, it’s simple and pretty.
[name]Garnet[/name] - I like [name]Garnet[/name] as a middle name but not for a first name
[name]Tamsin[/name] - It’s okay, it’s interesting
[name]Elidi[/name] - This name looks like it’s made up
[name]Artis[/name] - Not my style
[name]Salome[/name] - It’s okay
[name]Thora[/name] - Pretty
[name]Bethan[/name] - Yes, it will be mistaken for [name]Beth[/name]-[name]Ann[/name] and people will wonder why you spelled it wrong
[name]Tressa[/name] - Not so much
[name]Raine[/name] - I like it as a middle name, but love the name [name]Lorraine[/name], pretty and underused

My favorites from your list would have to be [name]Marin[/name] and [name]Thora[/name]

Thanks everyone! Hubby will probably be pleased to hear that everyone loves [name]Marin[/name]. I love it too, it’s probably just a little more widely used than I would want.

@[name]Mischa[/name]- Thanks for the suggestions! I like [name]Juno[/name] and [name]Clio[/name]! They’re on the extended version of this list! Also liking [name]Celeste[/name], [name]Arden[/name] and [name]Tosca[/name]. Although, our last name starts with [name]Ca[/name]-, so [name]Tosca[/name] [name]Ca[/name]- doesn’t work too well. I never really considered [name]Raine[/name] as a middle. [name]Elidi[/name] [name]Raine[/name] sounds great though, I love it!

Anyone else have suggestions, or input?

I think they’re all gorgeous. I do slightly prefer [name]Tamsin[/name] and [name]Tressa[/name] (or [name]Garnet[/name]) as a sister for [name]Willow[/name] and [name]Veda[/name] though. But they’re all lovely, and would suit the gorgeousness that would be made by you and your hubs.

Thanks [name]Ottilie[/name], they are pretty gorgeous, aren’t they?! (But I’m their mom, so of course I think that!) I would love to use [name]Garnet[/name], as it a family name (great-grandfather’s mn), and I know my grandmother would love that. I just don’t think hubby would get on board with it. Of [name]Tamsin[/name] and [name]Tressa[/name], [name]Tressa[/name] is more likely to win out. …Or perhaps I should say, I think it would be a little easier to convince him! Seems to take him a while to get used to a name he hasn’t heard before, so I’d have to plant the seed, and let him mull it over a while.

[name]Marin[/name]- okay, not something I love but it’s okay
[name]Artis[/name]- this is interesting, I think I’d prefer [name]Arta[/name], but [name]Artis[/name] is pretty. Looks a bit like a nn for [name]Artemis[/name].
[name]Bethan[/name]- I think it will be mistaken constantly for either [name]Beth[/name]-[name]Ann[/name] or [name]Bethany[/name]. What about [name]Bethel[/name]?
[name]Raine[/name]- this is okay, I really like it as a middle, as a fn I’d prefer [name]Raina[/name] as it’s a bit more complete sounding
[name]Tressa[/name]- this is nice, I prefer [name]Tessa[/name], but it’s interesting.
[name]Salome[/name] - I do think this is a pretty name, but I think it’s too close for salami to be wearable
[name]Garnet[/name]- meh, a nice middle
[name]Tamsin[/name] - I don’t like this at all sorry, reminds me of Tasmanian devil
[name]Elidi[/name]- it sound like L.E.D. like the lights.
[name]Thora[/name] - meh, just looks like [name]Thor[/name] with an -a

[name]Garnet[/name]- Not sure if I like it as a fn, bit masculine.
[name]Tamsin[/name] - Not my style but it’s okay.
[name]Elidi[/name]- Probably my favourite from your list.
[name]Artis[/name]- Very male to me - could work as a middle?
[name]Salome[/name] - not my style but I like it.
[name]Thora[/name] - feels slightly insubstantial.
[name]Bethan[/name]- Seems a bit boring compared to your other children?
[name]Tressa[/name]- [name]Don[/name]'t like as a fn, could work in the middle spot.
[name]Raine[/name]- Again prefer it in the middle.

[name]Willow[/name], [name]Veda[/name] & [name]Elidi[/name] definitely is the best combo.

[name]Elidi[/name] [name]Bethan[/name], [name]Elidi[/name] [name]Garnet[/name], [name]Elidi[/name] [name]Raine[/name], [name]Elidi[/name] [name]Artis[/name]?

[name]Thora[/name] would sound wonderful with [name]Willow[/name] and [name]Veda[/name]! I also think [name]Marin[/name], [name]Tamsin[/name], and [name]Bethan[/name] would go really well. I like [name]Salome[/name] as well, but if you later had a son, that would rule out [name]Solomon[/name]. If you only want three, though, then go ahead and use [name]Salome[/name] if you want.

@beau123- thanks for commenting!

@mega_muffin- for us, it would be 3 kids, max, unless we have twins. Since I have younger twin brothers, I always wanted a girl first, then twin boys. Although, I’m completely stumped as to what we’d name a 2nd boy, since our boys list is complete at just one name! …But that’s a discussion for another post :o

Top 5 from your list:
[name]Thora[/name] - This just seems like the perfect match to your current daughter’s names
[name]Elidi[/name] - This is definitely the most uncommon chose, but I think it’s fabulous
[name]Tressa[/name] - Again, a natural sister for [name]Willow[/name] and [name]Veda[/name]. Very pretty!
[name]Marin[/name] - If this were [name]Maren[/name], it would be higher on my list. I grew up in SF, so [name]Marin[/name] will always be the county on the other side of the golden gate to me!
[name]Tamsin[/name] - I love [name]Tamsin[/name], but I think the others above go better with your girls

Hmm, I pronounce it “ell-id-ee” not “ell-ee-dee”, but that does make me think a bit. I think we have very different naming styles, but thanks for sharing your opinion.

I agree that we do have different styles. I realized after I posted that I didn’t really say anything overly positive! Sorry about that! You do have a lovely style. Thanks for having a good attitude about it.
For the record I do like [name]Willow[/name] and [name]Veda[/name] and I think [name]Marin[/name] would work beautifully with your sibset.
Also, I’ve known several [name]Willow[/name]'s in my life, but met my first [name]Marin[/name] just last year. Not sure about the true popularity, especially in your area, but that’s just in my experience.

Haha, no problem kala_way. I definitely love [name]Willow[/name] [name]Veda[/name] and [name]Marin[/name] together. When we were discussing names for [name]Veda[/name], [name]Marin[/name] was a top contender.

Anyone else want to jump in?

Well, I’ll jump in and add a vote for [name]Tamsin[/name]
I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Tamsin[/name] [name]Raine[/name] with [name]Willow[/name] & [name]Veda[/name]

And with [name]Artis[/name] have you considered [name]Artemis[/name]?

I say hands down [name]Thora[/name] ( or [name]Thea[/name]?) with your girls. [name]Marin[/name] is super trendy in the southern us, but a nice name. [name]Garnet[/name] is gorgeous too.
