Thoughts on my list :-)

I’d love some thoughts on my list! And some suggestions too if you have any

With most of the names these are my concerns:
Too popular (I’m not sure whether I am bothered by popularity, not having experienced this with my own name I’m not sure how I feel about it!):
[name_m]Peter[/name_m] (not overly popular with new babies, but generally a ‘common feeling’ name)
[name_m]Samuel[/name_m]
[name_m]Edward[/name_m]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Lyla[/name_f]

And the opposite (too ‘out there’?):
[name_m]Barnaby[/name_m]
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f]

Lack of nicknames/ don’t like the nicknames (Again, I’ve never had a nickname myself, I’m not sure if I would like one for my child):

[name_m]Peter[/name_m]
[name_m]Samuel[/name_m] (I don’t mind [name_u]Sam[/name_u], but much prefer [name_m]Samuel[/name_m])
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]

The list as a whole:
[name_m]Peter[/name_m]
[name_m]Samuel[/name_m]
[name_m]Barnaby[/name_m]
[name_u]August[/name_u]
[name_m]Edward[/name_m]

[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]
[name_f]Lyla[/name_f]
[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f]
[name_f]Marguerite[/name_f]

[name_m]Peter[/name_m] - [name_m]Peter[/name_m] is lovely, it’s classic & strong, but youthful on a little boy.
[name_m]Samuel[/name_m] - I really like [name_m]Samuel[/name_m]. I know a couple of them though, which is why I have [name_m]Samson[/name_m] on my list as an alternative.
[name_m]Barnaby[/name_m] - [name_m]Barnaby[/name_m] is a great name, and it goes wonderfully with your other names!
[name_u]August[/name_u] - I love love love [name_u]August[/name_u]. Always have, always will.
[name_m]Edward[/name_m] - I love this too! I would love to meet a little [name_m]Edward[/name_m].

[name_f]Iris[/name_f] - [name_f]Iris[/name_f] is gorgeous. Sweet & simple.
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] - I love [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], but I have always had trouble finding a middle for her. She goes perfectly with your list.
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] - I’ve never been a big fan of [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] for some reason, but meeting a little [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] would be lovely.
[name_f]Lyla[/name_f] - It’s nice, but I don’t love it. I think I prefer the [name_f]Lila[/name_f] spelling, but the Y looks good in there too. It is a little less classic than the other names on your list, but if your say the names together, it works.
[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] - [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] is lovely. It’s one of those names that fit with anything.
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] - I love this with your list, and it’s not at all out there (well, to me, anyway.)
[name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] - I think I prefer this to [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], the sound is so pretty!

Suggestions:

[name_f]Lyla[/name_f] could always be a nickname for [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f].

[name_m]William[/name_m]/[name_m]Willem[/name_m]
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m]
[name_m]Lucien[/name_m]
[name_m]Leonard[/name_m]
[name_m]Matthias[/name_m]/[name_m]Matthew[/name_m]
[name_m]Malachi[/name_m]
[name_m]Finnian[/name_m]
[name_m]Henry[/name_m]
[name_m]Ivan[/name_m]
[name_u]Evan[/name_u]
[name_m]Paul[/name_m]
[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m]

[name_f]May[/name_f]
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f]
[name_f]Myra[/name_f]
[name_f]Olive[/name_f]
[name_f]Georgina[/name_f]
[name_f]Susannah[/name_f]
[name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]/[name_f]Cecily[/name_f]
[name_f]Sidonie[/name_f]
[name_f]Bryony[/name_f]
[name_f]Anneliese[/name_f]
[name_f]Harriet[/name_f]

[name_m]Peter[/name_m] - I have not heard the name [name_m]Peter[/name_m] for a very long time. I actually like seeing it on someone’s list.
[name_m]Samuel[/name_m] - I feel very neutral about [name_m]Samuel[/name_m]. I have known/know way too many Samuels, Sams, and Sammys.
[name_m]Edward[/name_m] - I am not too fond of [name_m]Ed[/name_m], so personally I do not care for the name. Besides that, this is another name thatI do not hear much any more.
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] - I love [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]. [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is beautiful and sweet, nickname [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] spunky and charming.
[name_f]Lyla[/name_f] - I know [name_f]Lyla[/name_f]/[name_f]Lila[/name_f] is popular on Nameberry but I do not care for the lie part.

[name_m]Barnaby[/name_m] - I personally do not care for [name_m]Barnaby[/name_m] but I feel the name is so spunky.
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] - I love [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], she is so sweet and charming.

If you do not want your child to have a nickname, then do not use one. I have heard people on this forum say that you cannot avoid them, well I know otherwise.

[name_u]August[/name_u] - I would use [name_u]August[/name_u] as a middle name, it honors.
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] - I am unsure why but I have never cared for this name…maybe because it also reminds me of irises of the eye
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] - I personally would not use [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] but I quite like the name.
[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] - I love [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]. If I did not fall head over heals with Maebry and [name_f]Emilia[/name_f], [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] would have been our number one.
[name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] - I prefer [name_f]Margaret[/name_f].

[name_m]Peter[/name_m] - I love this! I feel like it’s uncommon enough on young children that it’d feel fresh even if it has a common air to it.
[name_m]Samuel[/name_m] - Very nice name, though I think this one would not sound as unusual on any age.
[name_m]Edward[/name_m] - I have the same feeling as with [name_m]Peter[/name_m]. [name_m]Edward[/name_m] also has the bonus of lending itself to more uncommon nicknames like [name_m]Ned[/name_m] or [name_m]Ted[/name_m].
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] - Same as [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] - very nice, but definitely too common if that’s something that’d bother you.
[name_f]Lyla[/name_f] - I don’t like this spelling very much. I vastly prefer [name_f]Lila[/name_f], [name_f]Lilah[/name_f], [name_f]Layla[/name_f] or [name_f]Leila[/name_f].

[name_m]Barnaby[/name_m] - While I like this one, it may be a bit too uncommon. [name_m]Barney[/name_m] is still all purple dinosaur to me, too, and I’m not sure a little [name_m]Barnaby[/name_m] could easily avoid the nickname!
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] - I love this. I’d use it in a heartbeat.

[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] - So beautiful. [name_f]My[/name_f] favorite out of your girl options!

[name_u]August[/name_u] - [name_m]Augustin[/name_m] is my favorite boy’s name, so I love this!

[name_f]Iris[/name_f] - [name_f]Lovely[/name_f] name, and I personally have an excellent association with it!
[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] - Also lovely. The only reason I’d hesitate before using it would be in case it’d get shortened to [name_f]Em[/name_f]/[name_f]Emmie[/name_f]/[name_f]Emme[/name_f] and be lumped in with all the Emmas and Emilys out there!
[name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] - I’m not a huge fan personally, though it’s a perfectly fine name. I much prefer [name_f]Margaret[/name_f].

Some suggestions:
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f]
[name_f]Philippa[/name_f]

[name_f]Lyla[/name_f] - I dont like this name at all, I have a bad association. 3/10
[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] - So pretty! Yet, its so popular for misspellings and pronunciation errors. 4/10
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] - So pretty! I love this name. thansk to “Walking Dead” video game! 10/10
[name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] - I dont know how to say it, but it looks like margarita to me… 3/10

[name_m]Peter[/name_m] - [name_u]Love[/name_u]. [name_m]Peter[/name_m] is such a handsome name.
[name_m]Samuel[/name_m] - Also love. It’s one of my all-time favorites.
[name_m]Barnaby[/name_m] - Like with the nickname [name_m]Barnes[/name_m]. With no nickname, I prefer [name_m]Barnabas[/name_m].
[name_u]August[/name_u] - Cute!
[name_m]Edward[/name_m] - Prefer as a middle name, but still cute.

[name_f]Iris[/name_f] - Cute.
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] - Okay. I prefer it as a middle name.
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] - Cute.
[name_f]Lyla[/name_f] - [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t like. I like [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] better.
[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] - Not a fan. Something about this name has always bothered me…
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] - I adore [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]! I think it is so very cute.
[name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] - On the fence about this one. I think I like it, but I’m not sure.

Overall, I like your style a lot.
