Not quite satisfied with my list at the moment and changing a lot up. What would you take off and any ideas on names I could consider adding to the list? I think my names have gone from being fairly traditional classics to a little more unusual so my list is a strange halfway between that.
What a wonderful, wonderful list! So many of my favorite names!
The only one I dislike is [name_m]Augustus[/name_m], because of [name_m]Augustus[/name_m] Gloop, and well, just the look and sound of the word creeps me out. I like [name_u]August[/name_u] or [name_u]Augustine[/name_u] though (not [name_m]Augie[/name_m] as a nn).
@MargotAbeline I go backwards and forwards on both [name_m]Benedict[/name_m] and [name_m]Wilfred[/name_m], so nice to hear them getting some love. I also love [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] and [name_m]Amadeus[/name_m]. Hadn’t ever thought about [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] before but I think I really love it.
@Harvest-Endellion thank you! I think I’m the only person on this website who doesn’t like [name_u]August[/name_u] but does like [name_m]Augustus[/name_m]
I quite like [name_u]Augustine[/name_u] but somehow it feels less useable than [name_m]Augustus[/name_m].
Forgot to reply, thank you so much for these. Adding/considering [name_u]Valentine[/name_u], [name_m]Victor[/name_m], [name_m]Magnus[/name_m], [name_m]Gregory[/name_m] & [name_m]Reginald[/name_m].
Your list is excellent! I think you have very refined taste I wouldn’t lose any, except I am pronouncing [name_m]Clement[/name_m] the [name_u]French[/name_u] way of ‘cleh-MOHn’ instinctively. If you’re pronouncing it like it rhymes with cement, I’d not be such a fan.
You’ve had some brilliant suggestions so far! I’ll try not to repeat but any that do are second votes
