My name is Emerson, and although I wish I did, I don’t really have a nickname IRL. People call me Emmy-Sky or Emmy on the forums sometimes. Emmy-Sky seems a bit forced to me but I still like it - I actually asked people to call me that when I was still figuring out a name and it stuck. I pronounce it both eh-mer-son & ay-mer-son. Thoughts? 
I love [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] my parents where going to call me this but spelled [name_f]Emersyn[/name_f] but they settled on [name_f]Emma[/name_f]. [name_u]Love[/name_u] your name it’s so pretty!!

I like [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] as well, particularly for a boy and only in the traditional spelling. It’s warm but refined sounding, and gives me lovely bookish vibes.

There is little to no distinction in Hawai’i, although there is more in [name_f]Florida[/name_f]— I just introduce myself as eh-murs-zin there because it’s easier.
