[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.
Here are my thoughts-
Boys-
Oskar-I love it. And I go back & fourth on whether I prefer [name_m]Oskar[/name_m] or [name_m]Oscar[/name_m]. I do kind of feel like [name_m]Oskar[/name_m] gives it a slightly quirkier feel. Which is a good thing! It’s strong & vintage & spunky & smart. Well known, but not terribly over done.
Elliott-Ooh, I love this one too. It’s smart & charming & grows up well. And I’m so pleased w/this spelling. [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] looks incomplete to me.
Marshall-It’s not my personal favorite. I think that I don’t like the ‘marsh’ sound. That being said, it’s a perfectly nice well established name that feels unexpected these days. And I do like that about it.
Wrenley-This is not my cup of tea. Feels a bit too modern for my tastes, or something.
Bennett-Perfectly nice solid name. I love the sweet nn of [name_m]Ben[/name_m] too. I kind of prefer [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u], but [name_u]Bennett[/name_u] is less over done.
Girls-
Eleanor-Love it! One of my favorites. Perfect balance of strong, smart, classic, bookish but adventurous. And I love the nns [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] & [name_f]Nellie[/name_f]. It’s kind of way popular if that bothers you. But a timeless name in my opinion.
Erika-Not a name that I usually prefer. I guess it just feels a bit 80s. But it’s not a bad name at all.
Julia-I really want to like this. I like [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] & [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] & other similar names. And I don’t dislike this. It just doesn’t do much for me.
Hallie-I love the sound, but cant figure out why I don’t like the way it looks visually. Either way, it’s very sweet. I want to spell it [name_u]Haley[/name_u], but then people will say ‘Hay-lee’.
Victoria-Meh, I don’t love it, but no good reason why. Maybe it’s just a bit stuffy feeling. Totally fine name; just not my style.
Unisex-
Hunter-Not my style. Feels a bit trendy & over done & kind of violent! I’m not against hunting…just don’t like the idea of naming a child this. I definitely don’t find it pleasant for a girl.
Spencer-I like geeky sounding names, but always found this to sound a little too geeky. It’s not awful at all. I just don’t love it. It’s definitely way too masculine for a girl in my opinion.
Marlow-This is fine. Maybe better on a girl. I don’t love it, but it’s not bad.
Bronwyn-I’m really picking about spellings, because I much prefer [name_f]Branwen[/name_f]. It seems more authentic, I guess? And certainly feminine. Also, I think that I like [name_f]Branwen[/name_f], because w/the ‘o’, I just see the word ‘brown’.
Raleigh-A little trendy feeling for my tastes. It feels too masculine on a girl & too feminine for a boy.
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.
