Thoughts on my new list?

So, my list has changed a little. I’m still not having the “That’s the one” moment though :roll eyes: [name]Silver[/name] is set as the middle name, My husband thinks it’s the bet name ever. What do y’all think of this list? Any thoughts or suggestions?

[name]Callista[/name] [name]Silver[/name]
Everleigh [name]Silver[/name]
[name]Thalia[/name] [name]Silver[/name]
[name]Hadley[/name] [name]Silver[/name]

I actually like [name]Silver[/name] as a first name. I think it’s really neat! My oldest DD was desperate for me to use it. Everleigh [name]Silver[/name] has a nice flow-Everleigh is NMS but I like it best of the combos!

I really like [name]Calista[/name] [name]Silver[/name]. [name]Thalia[/name] [name]Silver[/name] is probably my second choice. Everleigh is cute but I’ve been seeing it a lot lately and especially with the ‘leigh’ ending I’m afraid it might be getting trendy. [name]Hadley[/name] is very interesting. It’s not nearly as feminine as your other choices, but it has an interesting sound and goes well with [name]Silver[/name]. Did you pick it due to the connection with Hemmingway or something else?

I agree with [name]Lori[/name]. Everything is very ‘I’ heavy.

[name]Calista[/name] and [name]Thalia[/name] are lovely names.

Everleigh is not a name, and [name]Hadley[/name] is very unattractive and masculine.

I really like [name]Hadley[/name], actually, but I think [name]Hadley[/name] [name]Silver[/name] is a bit too ambiguous… so I think [name]Calista[/name]/[name]Callista[/name] would get my vote. If [name]Hadley[/name] [name]Sylvia[/name] would be an option, though, that would definitely get my vote!

I really like [name]Thalia[/name] [name]Silver[/name]!

I love [name]Silver[/name], but I don’t really like any of your first name choices.

I like [name]Thalia[/name] [name]Silver[/name] best, with [name]Callista[/name] [name]Silver[/name] a distant second

I like [name]Callista[/name] [name]Silver[/name]very pretty!

I like both [name]Callista[/name] & [name]Thalia[/name], they are lovely. I think I prefer [name]Thalia[/name] though. [name]Silver[/name] is a very cool mn. Everleigh is trendeigh and won’t wear well, I don’t think. [name]Hadley[/name] although legit has the same feel to me.

Ashthedreamer- I read The [name]Paris[/name] Wife last year and really liked the name ([name]Hadley[/name]), but evidently so did a lot of other people because it’s really rising on the popularity charts. This is what i’m worried about with Everleigh as well, while a name being popular would not stop me from using it if hubby and I really loved it and I felt like it was THE [name]ONE[/name], i’d like to stay away from anything in the top 500. Everleigh isn’t in the top 1000 even (if i’m remembering correctly) but it is on the popular side, definitely more so than [name]Calista[/name] and [name]Thalia[/name]. (i.e.- didn’t make the ssn list, but I know more than one Everleigh and no [name]Callista[/name]'s or [name]Thalia[/name]'s)

I hadn’t even realized until y’all pointed it out that the list is ‘I’ heavy! These are just the ones that have stuck out to me so far. I’m having a hard time finding anything that I like enough to use on my own child. These names come the closest, but i’m not head-over-heels with any of them, really. So, I’m open to suggestions.

Hubby might go for [name]Sylvia[/name] or [name]Sylvie[/name] (<-- his first choice), but he’s pretty set on Silver at the moment and I hate to veto it because he loves it SO much. It’s not my fav, but I don’t hate it so i’d like to let him have it. One of the reasons I don’t like it is because it’s 2 syllables and ends in -er, just like our last name, so it causes some flow issues for me. If anyone has a name that could be nicknamed Sylvie, but has maybe 3 syllables (ha ha, tall order, I know!) I’d love to hear it. I’m not sure he’d go for it though, he seems to prefer word names, or names with a French feel and Silver fits that (Word name + very close Sylvie).

These aren’t requirements for a name, but just themes i’ve noticed in the names I like:

I prefer longish names that can be shortened to a cute nick name.
They’re heavy on “y”,and evidently “I”, sounds. <— Can’t believe I haven’t noticed the I’s yet lol
I like them to feel romantic, either purely by the sound of the name or by some association.
I prefer ‘fresher’ names, and don’t really like a lot of these classic reprisal names that are popular right now (Hattie, Charlotte etc.)
Please nothing ending in -ana or -mary

oh, I forgot to ask, what does NMS mean?

[name]Callista[/name] [name]Silver[/name] is my favorite. Gorgeous!

I like Everleigh [name]Silver[/name] best, but I can’t take the Everleigh seriously, especially paired with [name]Silver[/name]. :frowning:
My vote goes to [name]Thalia[/name] [name]Silver[/name].

[name]Do[/name] you like the name Evania? Evania [name]Silver[/name] is nice. [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Silver[/name] would be a stunning name, but [name]Caroline[/name] is probably not your style.

It means “Not My Style”.
