Thoughts on my updated list?

My current signature:
Anaxandra [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] [name_u]Reed[/name_u] -Would sometimes get “[name_u]Onyx[/name_u]” or “Anixa” maybe “[name_f]Xanthe[/name_f]” but the last one might be a stretch with how I stress the “xan” in the formal name. [More like Alexondra with an n as opposed to [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] with an n. I do that odd stress with [name_f]Alessandra[/name_f] and [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f] as well. Not sure exactly why.]
[name_f]Annabeth[/name_f] Humility Urtė -Would sometimes get [name_f]Anna[/name_f] pn [name_f]Ahna[/name_f]
Artemis Matilda Bronwyn
[name_f]Athena[/name_f] [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] [name_u]Clove[/name_u]
[name_u]Ellington[/name_u] [name_f]Thalia[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose [/name_f] -Would sometimes get [name_f]Elle[/name_f]
[name_f]Katrina[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] Sky or [name_f]Persephone/name_f]
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] -Organically may get [name_m]Ran[/name_m] or [name_u]Ren[/name_u].
[name_f]Serafina[/name_f] [name_f]Clover[/name_f] Nightshade - I’m not fond of any particular nn for this name.
Alfred Lionel Jackson -
[name_m]Alec[/name_m] Mercutio [name_m]Foster[/name_m] - I’ve considered using [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] as a first name with [name_m]Alec[/name_m] as the nn but I just don’t like [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] in the front spot.
[name_m]Arthur[/name_m] [name_f]Ciel[/name_f] [name_m]Timothy[/name_m]- Organically may get called [name_m]Artie[/name_m]. I won’t actively do it though. I really, really, dislike the nn [name_u]Teddy[/name_u], though. Also, which flows better?
[name_m]Edmund[/name_m] [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] [name_m]Scipio[/name_m] - I think this one is pretty stagnant in my wavering from it. [name_m]Scipio[/name_m] is one of the hardest names to find combos for.
[name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] [name_m]Apollo[/name_m] [name_m]Demetri[/name_m] -My longest running combo. Nn would be [name_m]Gil[/name_m] and he’d get a it a bit more than the others with their potential nn, probably
Lovino [name_m]Prosper[/name_m] [name_m]Osiris[/name_m]- Second longest running combo. Nn would be Lovi [LOW-vee]. He’d probably get called it a bit more often as well.
[name_u]Nico[/name_u] Alois Radley- I’ve also considered [name_m]Nicasio[/name_m] as a full name before, but it feels like the association I have with [name_u]Nico[/name_u] isn’t as strong with [name_u]Nico[/name_u] as just a nickname. Thoughts?

Under consideration:
[name_f]Claudia[/name_f]
[name_m]Parsifal[/name_m]- [name_m]Par[/name_m]-zi-fall.

My full name list link has a list of all pronunciations for names I think needs one. It also has all my favourite names not on my signature if you’d like to make suggestions using other names I like just as much. (as well as suggest ones I may not have considered at all)

[name_f]TIA[/name_f]~

Anaxandra [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] [name_u]Reed[/name_u] - not a fan of [name_u]Reed[/name_u], I don’t find it adds anything, but the flow is nice and Anaxandra [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] is lovely

[name_f]Annabeth[/name_f] Humility Urtė - [name_f]Annabeth[/name_f] is wonderful, Humility I find very difficult, no matter how nice it may sound, it would inflict such expectations on a child that I fear they might not be able to live up to. Urte isn’t for me but it certainly is intersting.

[name_f]Athena[/name_f] [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] [name_u]Clove[/name_u] - love [name_f]Athena[/name_f] [name_f]Isabella[/name_f], [name_u]Clove[/name_u] stands out in this combo but I generally don’t mind it as a name

[name_u]Ellington[/name_u] [name_f]Thalia[/name_f] [name_f]Fawn[/name_f] - [name_f]Thalia[/name_f] [name_f]Fawn[/name_f] is really nice, I’m still not a fan of [name_u]Ellington[/name_u], it makes me think of [name_m]Duke[/name_m] [name_u]Ellington[/name_u], whose music I like, but it’s a very masculine association

[name_f]Katrina[/name_f] [name_f]Melanie[/name_f] [name_f]Ardith[/name_f] - [name_f]Ardith[/name_f] is intersting, I quite like it, especially paired with [name_f]Katrina[/name_f]. [name_f]Melanie[/name_f] feels rather dated to me and not as strong as the other two, which make me think of a wide, wild sea

[name_f]Miranda[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] - I don’t love the [name_m]Ran[/name_m]- nicknames, I prefer [name_f]Mira[/name_f] myself, but this combo feels really well matched and flows beautifully

[name_f]Primrose[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Artemis[/name_u] - Primmy is actually quite sweet, I like that nn. I do love [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] but [name_u]Artemis[/name_u] has such a different imagery for me (and for the me there has to be a sense of coherence in imagery within a combo).
[name_f]Primrose[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] makes me think of a beautiful English garden with strong wild roses and [name_u]Artemis[/name_u] makes me think of a warrior queen

[name_f]Serafina[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] Nightshade - these work really well together, [name_f]Serafina[/name_f] is already a bit mystical so Nightshade fits in well here

[name_m]Alec[/name_m] [name_m]Foster[/name_m] [name_f]Avalon[/name_f] - I like the names together though would be prefer [name_m]Alec[/name_m] [name_f]Avalon[/name_f] [name_m]Foster[/name_m], there is something in the alliteration that I’d really like for this name
[name_m]Arthur[/name_m] [name_m]Timothy[/name_m] [name_m]Kane[/name_m] - [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] Thimothy is quite nice (and I’m usually not a fan of two -th- containing names in a row) but [name_m]Kane[/name_m] feels too strong and bold, probably because it reminds me of [name_m]Cain[/name_m] (even though I’m not religious)

[name_f]Ciel[/name_f] Mercutio [name_m]Radley[/name_m] - It is out-there but the names work well together, it feels like a coherent combination of names
[name_m]Edmund[/name_m] [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] [name_m]Scipio[/name_m] - I’m not too fond of [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] and [name_m]Scipio[/name_m] together, though I think both work well with [name_m]Edmund[/name_m], but I like it more than I thought I would (I’m very picky when it comes to [name_m]Edmund[/name_m])

[name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] [name_m]Apollo[/name_m] [name_m]Demetri[/name_m] - the flow feels off here, [name_m]Demetri[/name_m] feels a bit tacked-on; I think it’s the 2-3-3 pattern (well, the 3-3 part of it)

Lovino [name_m]Prosper[/name_m] [name_m]Osiris[/name_m]- I quite like this this one, it also feels very out-there but none of the names stick out as they are all very out-there.
I still think it’s usable as none of them are super long and feel rather approachable.

[name_u]Nico[/name_u] [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] [name_u]Blaize[/name_u] - this feels all over the place. [name_u]Nico[/name_u] is a fun nickname with timeless flair and a modern feel, [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] is antique, not yet one of the comeback names and [name_u]Blaize[/name_u] feels ultra modern and cool, reminding me of “TRON” (the lights and motorbikes, etc.)
The flow is also a bit choppy.

I hope I didn’t come across as too harsh because I didn’t mean to be.

[name_u]Reed[/name_u] is my little sister’s middle name [one of the few family names I like] and I personally really love it with Anaxandra ____ [name_u]Reed[/name_u] and [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] [name_u]Reed[/name_u] ____ so it feels natural to me~

I think someone mentioned to me before that it sounds like humiliating, which I guess I can sort of see. Though Humility as a virtue/word name already I figure keeps it from being a huge association.

Not sure if it was a typo, but [name_f]Isabell[/name_f]e, not [name_f]Isabell[/name_f]a.

Thanks for the feedback. I have no personal problem with surnames on girls and my main association is a much more feminine one with [name_u]Ellington[/name_u] Feint from “All The Wrong Questions” so no problem there~

[name_f]Melanie[/name_f] is in the 2015 top 100, though I can sort of see your point as the only one I know personally is my mother’s age. Would [name_f]Melody[/name_f] or [name_f]Mallory[/name_f] fit better?

We can agree to disagree about that as I don’t like the nn [name_f]Mira[/name_f] at all. Thank you, btw!

I can sort of see what you mean here, though for me it’s less to do with imagery and more associations. [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] = [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] Wormwood, [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] = [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] Everdeen, [name_u]Artemis[/name_u] = the goddess, my favourite goddess particularly. I do agree that [name_u]Artemis[/name_u] doesn’t feel right here. I think I was trying to shorten my list by removing a name instead of finding a combo for [name_u]Artemis[/name_u], a top ten favourite. Thanks for the feedback.

Thank you! I’ve gone back to this one a lot. I really love [name_f]Serafina[/name_f] with the names [name_f]Jane[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_u]Pepper[/name_u], and Nightshade the most and I just love this one. Plus, I like how soft [name_f]Serafina[/name_f] sounds even with the fire association when paired with Nightshade.

I actually thought about it, but found that I didn’t like the flow as much, though I liked it both ways. Perhaps I’ll make a poll about it.

I had to double check to make sure I didn’t actually write Thimothy. It’s [name_m]Timothy[/name_m]
I see what you mean about [name_m]Cain[/name_m] (I’m not religious either) though I am fond of [name_m]Kane[/name_m].

Thank you! [name_f]Ciel[/name_f] is just so hard to find middles for and I really love [name_f]Ciel[/name_f] Mercutio but I still worry.

[quote=“opheliaflora,post:2,topic:283917”]
[name_m]Edmund[/name_m] [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] [name_m]Scipio[/name_m] - I’m not too fond of [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] and [name_m]Scipio[/name_m] together, though I think both work well with [name_m]Edmund[/name_m], but I like it more than I thought I would (I’m very picky when it comes to [name_m]Edmund[/name_m])[QUOTE=opheliaflora,post:2,topic:283917"]
Edmund and Scipio are both so hard to find middles for as well and I was surprised at how much I swoon over this one because any Edmund Scipio combos I had before didn’t feel right.

Thanks for the interesting feedback, but I’m not too worried about the cadence of it as long as the names.

Thank you! I had a little help from @ashthedreamer with this one and I must once again thank her because I don’t think I would have come up with this one on my own. (:

[name_u]Nico[/name_u] = [name_u]Nico[/name_u] di [name_m]Angelo[/name_m], [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] = [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] F. [name_m]Jones[/name_m], and [name_u]Blaize[/name_u] = [name_u]Blaise[/name_u] [name_m]Pascal[/name_m]. Though… I wasn’t completely sure about the flow when I came up with this one so I’m glad someone else noticed it. I have had [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] [name_u]Blaise[/name_u] and [name_u]Nico[/name_u] [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] (and [name_u]Nico[/name_u] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] [name_m]Alois[/name_m] before that one) do those flow better.

Not necessarily. I mean, honestly if this were the “Rate The Previous Signature Thread” maybe a little bit because it’s not as easy to give my own thoughts back there, ha.

Apologies in advance for my rather disorganised thoughts!

Anaxandra [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] [name_u]Reed[/name_u] - I think I would try place [name_u]Reed[/name_u] in the first middle name spot, as it has a tendency to sound like the surname otherwise. [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] is absolutely lovely. I think if you pronounce it as “An-ix-on-druh” you will definitely get people mispronouncing (I personally would go for An-axe-zahn-drah, but I have a posh British accent) but it will probably be manageable. As Anaxandra is so unusual, I’d probably spell it Anixandra to make your pronunciation more obvious. With your pronunciation, I’d go with Anixa as the nickname. [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] and [name_u]Onyx[/name_u] feel like very different names to me, so I wouldn’t use them as nicknames. The combo has good flow.

[name_f]Annabeth[/name_f] Humility Urtė - I think the [name_f]Ahna[/name_f] nickname would be difficult as you’re pronouncing [name_f]Annabeth[/name_f] with the [name_f]Ann[/name_f]-a pronunciation. [name_f]Annabeth[/name_f] is so sweet and fun! I agree with @opheliaflora that Humility is a bit much as a virtue name, not because it sounds like humiliating (although those connotations of humiliation are there) but because “the quality of having a modest or low view of one’s importance” isn’t really the done thing any longer. I really like Urtė, it’s so striking and pretty. I think Humility Urtė doesn’t really flow, the endings are a little too similar. Using a different middle from your list, I think [name_f]Annabeth[/name_f] Urtė [name_f]Luna[/name_f] would be lovely.

[name_f]Athena[/name_f] [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] [name_u]Clove[/name_u] - this is a gorgeous combo! The flow is great, and I like the mix of the strong, striking and ancient [name_f]Athena[/name_f] with the delicate, sweet and vintage-y [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] and the spicy, modern [name_u]Clove[/name_u].

[name_u]Ellington[/name_u] [name_f]Thalia[/name_f] [name_f]Fawn[/name_f] - I personally prefer [name_f]Elle[/name_f] to [name_u]Ellington[/name_u], because I’m another who’s not a huge fan of surname-names on girls. That said the combo flows well. I adore the name [name_f]Fawn[/name_f], it’s so charmingly adorable. [name_f]Thalia[/name_f] is elegant, but I’m not a huge fan of names with lots of pronunciations, and one of the people I knew who spelled it this way pronounced it like [name_m]Thay[/name_m]-lee-ah, basically failure with a “th” sound instead of an “f”, which kind of put me off the name. [name_m]Tah[/name_m]-lee-ah is gorgeous though! That said I think having the “ton” of [name_u]Ellington[/name_u] right next to the “tah” of [name_f]Thalia[/name_f] doesn’t flow perfectly. Maybe [name_f]Thalia[/name_f] [name_u]Ellington[/name_u] [name_f]Fawn[/name_f] would work better?

[name_f]Katrina[/name_f] [name_f]Melanie[/name_f] [name_f]Ardith[/name_f] - I think [name_f]Katrina[/name_f] [name_f]Ardith[/name_f] [name_f]Melanie[/name_f] would flow better. I love the name [name_f]Katrina[/name_f], but not this spelling, as it brings to mind [name_f]Hurricane[/name_f] [name_f]Katrina[/name_f]. I’m not a massive fan of [name_f]Ardith[/name_f], it has quite a hard sound to me, and sort of reminds me of Cardiff. [name_f]Melanie[/name_f] is very sweet, but is a little dated where I am.

[name_f]Miranda[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] - this feels very different in style to your other combos, it’s much more prim and proper. [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] feels a little dated to me, as does [name_f]Louise[/name_f], but all three names are strong and pretty. I definitely wouldn’t use nickname [name_u]Randy[/name_u], as it means both “sexually aroused or excited”, and less commonly “having a rude, aggressive manner”, so very negative connotations you wouldn’t want in a little girl’s nickname. If you want a nickname with similar sounds I’d go for [name_u]Mandy[/name_u]/[name_f]Andie[/name_f]/[name_f]Annie[/name_f]. This combo has good flow.

[name_f]Primrose[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Artemis[/name_u] - I like all three names separately but the flow in this combo isn’t perfect. I think [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] [name_u]Artemis[/name_u] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] or [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Artemis[/name_u] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] might work better. Prim and Primmy are both very sweet nicknames. [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] flows beautifully though, and so maybe a different second middle would work, [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Fae[/name_f] or [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] Zaylie would be pretty.

[name_f]Serafina[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] Nightshade - I adore [name_f]Serafina[/name_f], and this spelling is so pretty. I wouldn’t pair [name_f]Serafina[/name_f] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f] together though, because [name_m]Ben[/name_m] Affleck and [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] [name_m]Garner[/name_m] have daughters called [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f]. I also wouldn’t use [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and Nightshade in the same combo, because they both have very heavy, sharp sounds, and so it feels a bit much together, especially as [name_f]Violet[/name_f] sounds like violent, and Nightshade has the Deadly Nightshade connotations. [name_f]Serafina[/name_f] [name_f]Clover[/name_f] Nightshade or [name_f]Serafina[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Bronwyn[/name_f] would be pretty.

[name_m]Alec[/name_m] [name_m]Foster[/name_m] [name_f]Avalon[/name_f] - I’m not a massive fan of any of these names personally, but I think the flow of the combo is good. [name_m]Alec[/name_m] has a sweet, old-fashioned but boyish sound. [name_m]Foster[/name_m] is all surname to me, but I can see the appeal, and I think it works well in the first middle spot. [name_f]Avalon[/name_f] has a lovely, soft sound.

[name_m]Arthur[/name_m] [name_m]Timothy[/name_m] [name_m]Kane[/name_m] - I think this is a bit “th” heavy. [name_m]Timothy[/name_m] also feels very middle-aged to me. I like [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], and I don’t think it needs a nickname, it works fine as a whole name. I like [name_m]Kane[/name_m], it has a strong sound. I think I’d either try separate [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] and [name_m]Timothy[/name_m] with a middle, or put them in different combos.

[name_f]Ciel[/name_f] Mercutio [name_m]Radley[/name_m] - I adore [name_f]Ciel[/name_f]! It’s so handsome! I really like [name_f]Ciel[/name_f] and Mercutio, but I prefer combos with at least one “grounding” name, and so I agree that maybe a more normal middle is needed in place of [name_m]Radley[/name_m]. Maybe [name_f]Ciel[/name_f] Mercutio [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] or [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] [name_f]Ciel[/name_f] Mercutio called [name_f]Ciel[/name_f] would work.

[name_m]Edmund[/name_m] [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] [name_m]Scipio[/name_m] - Probably my current fave of your boy names! I adore [name_m]Edmund[/name_m], and I like it with the soft sounding [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] and the funky [name_m]Scipio[/name_m]. This combo is just great!

[name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] [name_m]Apollo[/name_m] [name_m]Demetri[/name_m] - [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] has personal negative connotations for me, but putting those it aside, it feels quite dated. I really like the middle combo, but I prefer the [name_m]Dimitri[/name_m] spelling, the “E” variants always look wrong to me. The flow of this combo is great!

Lovino [name_m]Prosper[/name_m] [name_m]Osiris[/name_m] - This is like the [name_f]Ciel[/name_f] combo for me, it needs a “grounding name”, as it just feels too obscure otherwise. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though [name_m]Prosper[/name_m] and [name_m]Osiris[/name_m] have a degree of familiarity, they just aren’t common enough as names to serve this purpose [name_f]IMO[/name_f]. Lovino nn Lovi is cute, but I think Lovino would be naturally pronounced as Luh-vee-noh/[name_u]Love[/name_u]-ino rather than how you want it to be.

[name_u]Nico[/name_u] [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] [name_u]Blaize[/name_u] - I really like this combo. I love [name_u]Nico[/name_u], and it flows great with the middles. I like the blend of modern and old-fashioned. That said, I’d spell [name_u]Blaize[/name_u] as either [name_u]Blaise[/name_u] or [name_u]Blaze[/name_u], as this variant spelling just looks messy and misspelled to me.

[name_f]Claudia[/name_f] - a strong and elegant name, I really really like this. It does have the dual pronunciation issue though.
[name_m]Parsifal[/name_m] - I know it’s a legit name, but it just looks made up to me. It also kind of reminds me of parsley and falafel

When I rate somebody’s signature, if I don’t like a name, I usually just say it’s not my style but it seemed to me that you wanted a more detailed opinion about why certain names might not work for me, so that’s why I gave such long opinions.

Family names do always add something of course, just not to other people. But as you loving it is the only important thing, I’m glad you’re content with the combo.

I didn’t think of humiliating right away and in my comment I was talking more about how virtue names like these (especially the less common ones that are more word than name and where the meaning is still very appearant) might make the bearer feel like they have to live up to it.

I think [name_f]Mallory[/name_f], though I don’t love the name either, fits in really nice with [name_f]Katrina[/name_f] [name_f]Ardith[/name_f]. It’s got the same type of coolness (literally) to me; very much to-the-point, it fits nicely with the ocean imagery I get from [name_f]Katrina[/name_f] [name_f]Ardith[/name_f].

When I see Nightshade, I only think of starry night skies rather than the flower. Interstingly enough, I don’t see [name_f]Serafina[/name_f] as very fiery but rather as serene and mysterious, like a name that’s keeping a secret, especially when paired with Nightshade.

And yes, both [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] and Thimothy were unintentional misspellings.

Hm, as for the boys’ names, if I had to reorder them, I might go with
[name_f]Ciel[/name_f] Mercutio [name_u]Blaise[/name_u]/[name_u]Blaize[/name_u] - I feel [name_u]Blaise[/name_u] is much softer, less modern but that both would work well in this combo (do you prn. [name_f]Ciel[/name_f] as cee-el or cyel?)

[name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] [name_m]Apollo[/name_m] [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] / [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] [name_m]Apollo[/name_m] [name_m]Radley[/name_m]

[name_u]Nico[/name_u] [name_m]Demetri[/name_m] [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] / [name_u]Nico[/name_u] [name_m]Demetri[/name_m] [name_u]Blaise[/name_u]/[name_u]Blaize[/name_u]

I also really like [name_u]Nico[/name_u] with [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] and [name_m]Atticus[/name_m]!

I actually think that when actually said with the surname, surname-y names [with girls, the problem doesn’t happen with boys] make the combo sound like two different names together when placed in the first middle spot but I guess we just just have different perceptions. I’m not really liking the spelling Anixandra but thank you!

I use the An-uh-bith pronunciation, though I’d prefer [name_f]Ahna[/name_f]-bith. An-uh has always felt too harsh to me. I like Humility because of Humility “Hummy” from the Dear [name_u]America[/name_u] books and the way it sounds to me, not necessarily for the particular virtue itself, I’m not sure how it’s not “a done thing anymore” unless you mean the giving of this particular virtue name. I actually think that [name_f]Luna[/name_f] and Urtė sound more similar than Humility, but maybe it’s my accent.

I don’t like [name_u]Ellington[/name_u] in the first middle spot for the same reason that I said about [name_u]Reed[/name_u]. I pronounce [name_f]Thalia[/name_f] with the Thah-lee-uh sound. I agree about the different pronunciations and it’s one reason that I’ve started reconsidering it as a first name.

I’m not fond of [name_f]Catriona[/name_f] or [name_f]Catrina[/name_f] and while I kind of like the spelling [name_f]Katryna[/name_f] I don’t like it as a first. By the time my children are born the hurricane won’t be as prominent as it was in the 2000’s either. And also I’m fairly young (not sure how much younger / older you are than me) so while I’m old enough to remember the devastation, I don’t associate the name too strongly with it. Maybe I would have the association if I was older. I googled Cardiff and it’s a place in [name_m]Wales[/name_m]? Maybe its because I’m not from the UK (Though I am part Welsh and English), but I don’t personally see any issue with that.

This combo has good flow.[QUOTE=prettygirl,post:4,topic:283917"]

I’ve never heard of that for Randy, but maybe it’s my region /age. Thank you for telling me that though because THAT is a huge problem. I dislike Annie and Mandy; Andi is my sister’s nn.

I kind of like [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Fae[/name_f]/[name_f]Faye[/name_f]…

[name_f]Serafina[/name_f] [name_f]Clover[/name_f] Nightshade or [name_f]Serafina[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Bronwyn[/name_f] would be pretty.[QUOTE=prettygirl,post:4,topic:283917"]
Serafina Clover Nightshade is so pretty! Thank you!

I had [name_f]Ciel[/name_f] [name_m]Timothy[/name_m] ___ and [name_m]Perseus[/name_m]/ [name_u]Nico[/name_u] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] [name_m]Alois[/name_m] before. [name_f]Do[/name_f] those sound better?

I really like [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] [name_f]Ciel[/name_f] Mercutio, but he’d be called [name_m]Alfred[/name_m], not [name_f]Ciel[/name_f]. I don’t really like using middles as given names. I’ll have to consider this one, though.

Funny enough, I actually feel the exact same way about the “I” variants so I totally get that feeling. The only [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] I know was my age so it’s not that dated to me (plus the [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] Beilschmidt association is wonderful and maybe I’m biased because [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] is like my favourite name ever so I’ll shut up now)

Actually, just a year ago, [name_u]Blaize[/name_u] used to me on my middles list while [name_u]Blaise[/name_u], [name_u]Blaze[/name_u], and [name_m]Blayze[/name_m] were on my first names list. I may reconsider [name_u]Blaise[/name_u]. I’m not sure why I decided I didn’t like the spelling.
This got too long, so I had to cut down my word count.

It’s no problem. I often do the same thing unless there’s something I fine genuinely wrong with it, which I guess may annoy people looking for constructive criticism.

I would hope my kids would know I don’t care as long as they aren’t engaging in any behaviour than could harm them or others. I mean, I’d rather my kids grow up to be humble than arrogant, naturally, but I just tend to like virtue names for the sound and not the virtue itself, necessarily.

Honestly, when I went over my signature two seconds ago, I realised that I only did this combo because I wanted [name_f]Ardith[/name_f] on my signature and not because it was my favourite [name_f]Katrina[/name_f] combo… Not sure why I mentioned that, but moving on.

Happens to the best of us, ha!

I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] this! Thanks. I am definitely reconsidering the spelling [name_u]Blaise[/name_u] as well.

I can’t use [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] and [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] together because it breaks an association rule of mine, but I like [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] [name_m]Apollo[/name_m] [name_m]Radley[/name_m], maybe almost as much as [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] [name_m]Apollo[/name_m] [name_m]Demetri[/name_m].

[name_u]Nico[/name_u] [name_m]Demetri[/name_m] [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] is nice! I also love [name_u]Nico[/name_u] with [name_m]Adrian[/name_m] but haven’t come up with a good combo for it in a while~
