Apologies in advance for my rather disorganised thoughts!
Anaxandra [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] [name_u]Reed[/name_u] - I think I would try place [name_u]Reed[/name_u] in the first middle name spot, as it has a tendency to sound like the surname otherwise. [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] is absolutely lovely. I think if you pronounce it as “An-ix-on-druh” you will definitely get people mispronouncing (I personally would go for An-axe-zahn-drah, but I have a posh British accent) but it will probably be manageable. As Anaxandra is so unusual, I’d probably spell it Anixandra to make your pronunciation more obvious. With your pronunciation, I’d go with Anixa as the nickname. [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] and [name_u]Onyx[/name_u] feel like very different names to me, so I wouldn’t use them as nicknames. The combo has good flow.
[name_f]Annabeth[/name_f] Humility Urtė - I think the [name_f]Ahna[/name_f] nickname would be difficult as you’re pronouncing [name_f]Annabeth[/name_f] with the [name_f]Ann[/name_f]-a pronunciation. [name_f]Annabeth[/name_f] is so sweet and fun! I agree with @opheliaflora that Humility is a bit much as a virtue name, not because it sounds like humiliating (although those connotations of humiliation are there) but because “the quality of having a modest or low view of one’s importance” isn’t really the done thing any longer. I really like Urtė, it’s so striking and pretty. I think Humility Urtė doesn’t really flow, the endings are a little too similar. Using a different middle from your list, I think [name_f]Annabeth[/name_f] Urtė [name_f]Luna[/name_f] would be lovely.
[name_f]Athena[/name_f] [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] [name_u]Clove[/name_u] - this is a gorgeous combo! The flow is great, and I like the mix of the strong, striking and ancient [name_f]Athena[/name_f] with the delicate, sweet and vintage-y [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] and the spicy, modern [name_u]Clove[/name_u].
[name_u]Ellington[/name_u] [name_f]Thalia[/name_f] [name_f]Fawn[/name_f] - I personally prefer [name_f]Elle[/name_f] to [name_u]Ellington[/name_u], because I’m another who’s not a huge fan of surname-names on girls. That said the combo flows well. I adore the name [name_f]Fawn[/name_f], it’s so charmingly adorable. [name_f]Thalia[/name_f] is elegant, but I’m not a huge fan of names with lots of pronunciations, and one of the people I knew who spelled it this way pronounced it like [name_m]Thay[/name_m]-lee-ah, basically failure with a “th” sound instead of an “f”, which kind of put me off the name. [name_m]Tah[/name_m]-lee-ah is gorgeous though! That said I think having the “ton” of [name_u]Ellington[/name_u] right next to the “tah” of [name_f]Thalia[/name_f] doesn’t flow perfectly. Maybe [name_f]Thalia[/name_f] [name_u]Ellington[/name_u] [name_f]Fawn[/name_f] would work better?
[name_f]Katrina[/name_f] [name_f]Melanie[/name_f] [name_f]Ardith[/name_f] - I think [name_f]Katrina[/name_f] [name_f]Ardith[/name_f] [name_f]Melanie[/name_f] would flow better. I love the name [name_f]Katrina[/name_f], but not this spelling, as it brings to mind [name_f]Hurricane[/name_f] [name_f]Katrina[/name_f]. I’m not a massive fan of [name_f]Ardith[/name_f], it has quite a hard sound to me, and sort of reminds me of Cardiff. [name_f]Melanie[/name_f] is very sweet, but is a little dated where I am.
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] - this feels very different in style to your other combos, it’s much more prim and proper. [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] feels a little dated to me, as does [name_f]Louise[/name_f], but all three names are strong and pretty. I definitely wouldn’t use nickname [name_u]Randy[/name_u], as it means both “sexually aroused or excited”, and less commonly “having a rude, aggressive manner”, so very negative connotations you wouldn’t want in a little girl’s nickname. If you want a nickname with similar sounds I’d go for [name_u]Mandy[/name_u]/[name_f]Andie[/name_f]/[name_f]Annie[/name_f]. This combo has good flow.
[name_f]Primrose[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Artemis[/name_u] - I like all three names separately but the flow in this combo isn’t perfect. I think [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] [name_u]Artemis[/name_u] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] or [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Artemis[/name_u] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] might work better. Prim and Primmy are both very sweet nicknames. [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] flows beautifully though, and so maybe a different second middle would work, [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Fae[/name_f] or [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] Zaylie would be pretty.
[name_f]Serafina[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] Nightshade - I adore [name_f]Serafina[/name_f], and this spelling is so pretty. I wouldn’t pair [name_f]Serafina[/name_f] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f] together though, because [name_m]Ben[/name_m] Affleck and [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] [name_m]Garner[/name_m] have daughters called [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f]. I also wouldn’t use [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and Nightshade in the same combo, because they both have very heavy, sharp sounds, and so it feels a bit much together, especially as [name_f]Violet[/name_f] sounds like violent, and Nightshade has the Deadly Nightshade connotations. [name_f]Serafina[/name_f] [name_f]Clover[/name_f] Nightshade or [name_f]Serafina[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Bronwyn[/name_f] would be pretty.
[name_m]Alec[/name_m] [name_m]Foster[/name_m] [name_f]Avalon[/name_f] - I’m not a massive fan of any of these names personally, but I think the flow of the combo is good. [name_m]Alec[/name_m] has a sweet, old-fashioned but boyish sound. [name_m]Foster[/name_m] is all surname to me, but I can see the appeal, and I think it works well in the first middle spot. [name_f]Avalon[/name_f] has a lovely, soft sound.
[name_m]Arthur[/name_m] [name_m]Timothy[/name_m] [name_m]Kane[/name_m] - I think this is a bit “th” heavy. [name_m]Timothy[/name_m] also feels very middle-aged to me. I like [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], and I don’t think it needs a nickname, it works fine as a whole name. I like [name_m]Kane[/name_m], it has a strong sound. I think I’d either try separate [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] and [name_m]Timothy[/name_m] with a middle, or put them in different combos.
[name_f]Ciel[/name_f] Mercutio [name_m]Radley[/name_m] - I adore [name_f]Ciel[/name_f]! It’s so handsome! I really like [name_f]Ciel[/name_f] and Mercutio, but I prefer combos with at least one “grounding” name, and so I agree that maybe a more normal middle is needed in place of [name_m]Radley[/name_m]. Maybe [name_f]Ciel[/name_f] Mercutio [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] or [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] [name_f]Ciel[/name_f] Mercutio called [name_f]Ciel[/name_f] would work.
[name_m]Edmund[/name_m] [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] [name_m]Scipio[/name_m] - Probably my current fave of your boy names! I adore [name_m]Edmund[/name_m], and I like it with the soft sounding [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] and the funky [name_m]Scipio[/name_m]. This combo is just great!
[name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] [name_m]Apollo[/name_m] [name_m]Demetri[/name_m] - [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] has personal negative connotations for me, but putting those it aside, it feels quite dated. I really like the middle combo, but I prefer the [name_m]Dimitri[/name_m] spelling, the “E” variants always look wrong to me. The flow of this combo is great!
Lovino [name_m]Prosper[/name_m] [name_m]Osiris[/name_m] - This is like the [name_f]Ciel[/name_f] combo for me, it needs a “grounding name”, as it just feels too obscure otherwise. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though [name_m]Prosper[/name_m] and [name_m]Osiris[/name_m] have a degree of familiarity, they just aren’t common enough as names to serve this purpose [name_f]IMO[/name_f]. Lovino nn Lovi is cute, but I think Lovino would be naturally pronounced as Luh-vee-noh/[name_u]Love[/name_u]-ino rather than how you want it to be.
[name_u]Nico[/name_u] [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] [name_u]Blaize[/name_u] - I really like this combo. I love [name_u]Nico[/name_u], and it flows great with the middles. I like the blend of modern and old-fashioned. That said, I’d spell [name_u]Blaize[/name_u] as either [name_u]Blaise[/name_u] or [name_u]Blaze[/name_u], as this variant spelling just looks messy and misspelled to me.
[name_f]Claudia[/name_f] - a strong and elegant name, I really really like this. It does have the dual pronunciation issue though.
[name_m]Parsifal[/name_m] - I know it’s a legit name, but it just looks made up to me. It also kind of reminds me of parsley and falafel
