I like [name_f]Anais[/name_f] better with [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] but [name_f]Delani[/name_f] better with [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m].
I prefer [name_f]Delani[/name_f] but what about -
I don’t think [name_f]Delani[/name_f] goes well with [name_m]Matthew[/name_m], where as [name_f]Anais[/name_f] does.
I went to school with a [name_f]Delani[/name_f] and it suited her well. I quite like it as a name, just not paired with [name_m]Matthew[/name_m].
I agree: [name_f]Delani[/name_f] (which I’m saying like [name_u]Delaney[/name_u]?) goes better with [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] but [name_f]Anais[/name_f] with [name_m]Matthew[/name_m].
I am in the minority it seems, but I feel that [name_f]Delani[/name_f] pairs far better with [name_m]Matthew[/name_m]! I am voting for [name_f]Delani[/name_f] [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m]! Spunky and lovely
I’d say give your girl a middle name and use both [name_f]Anais[/name_f] and [name_f]Delani[/name_f]. I’ll also suggest the name [name_f]Delaina[/name_f] to you, which is my twin sister’s name. I think [name_f]Anais[/name_f] [name_f]Delaina[/name_f] or [name_f]Delaina[/name_f] [name_f]Anais[/name_f] would pair beautifully with [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] [name_m]Orson[/name_m].
I voted for [name_f]Anais[/name_f]. While I like both [name_f]Anais[/name_f] and [name_f]Delani[/name_f], I find them a bit mismatched with [name_m]Matthew[/name_m], which is so much more conservative. If you’re set on [name_m]Matthew[/name_m], I’d go with [name_f]Anais[/name_f], which is a bit more familiar, to me at least.
Both are pretty, but [name_u]Delaney[/name_u] fits better with [name_m]Matthew[/name_m].
I like [name_f]Anais[/name_f] far better. I also like the previous suggestion of [name_f]Anais[/name_f] [name_f]Delaina[/name_f]!
I prefer [name_f]Anais[/name_f].
Is [name_f]Delani[/name_f] pronounced like [name_u]Delaney[/name_u] or duh-LAWN-ee? Because I would say it like the latter on first glance. If it’s pronounced like [name_u]Delaney[/name_u], I’d say it works best with [name_m]Matthew[/name_m].
While I like [name_f]Anais[/name_f], I worry that it would sound a bit like anus to those unfamiliar with the name. In my accent (midwestern American), I’d be concerned about the similarity.
How are you pronouncing them?
I pronounce Anaïs like Ann-AY-iss
I’m not familiar with Delani but by the spelling I’d assume it’s pronounced Del-ah-nee rather than Delaney
I think [name_f]Anais[/name_f] is a pretty name, but I like [name_f]Delani[/name_f] better with [name_m]Shepard[/name_m], and unlike some of the previous posters, I actually think it pairs better with [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] as well.
[name_u]Delaney[/name_u] spelled this way
I second this. But, personally, I love [name_f]Anais[/name_f], so I voted for her.
