[name_m]Hi[/name_m]! I need honest opinions on the name [name_u]Prairie[/name_u]… our last name also starts with a P.
I love [name_u]Prairie[/name_u]! It works at any age and it’s elegant and gorgeous. I also find it prettier than [name_f]Savannah[/name_f].
I quite like [name_u]Prairie[/name_u]. It has many elements to it currently popular in many modern names yet is not so common in itself (it has a peppy P beginning, an -ie ending, is a nature/word name and is light and ‘airy’).
I typically enjoy alliteration, however, I do think it depends on the surname, and how many other sounds it also shares. For example, something like [name_u]Prairie[/name_u] [name_u]Parker[/name_u] or [name_u]Prairie[/name_u] Patel works just fine, but [name_u]Prairie[/name_u] [name_m]Priestley[/name_m], or [name_u]Prairie[/name_u] [name_m]Perez[/name_m] don’t work so well due to being more of a tongue twister with the also repeated R.
I think it’s super cute, but I’d personally only use it as a middle.
I love the name [name_u]Prairie[/name_u], it evokes some beautiful imagery. It really grew on me after watching The OA as well. And ditto what sunniva said about it with a P surname.
I think [name_u]Prairie[/name_u] is very cute, but I am always wary of alliteration. There are only a few that work. Go with what you feel
[name_u]Prairie[/name_u] is so lovely and unexpected. And I adore alliteration; it makes names memorable.
I went to school with a [name_u]Prairie[/name_u], I always adored her name.
It’s super cute!
I really like [name_u]Prairie[/name_u]! Cute, sweet and romantic.
I lived an hour from the “prairie” in Kansas for 9 years. I don’t see any appeal of using it as a name. It’s flat, dry, and utterly boring to look at. This is one I’ll never understand, sorry.
I think it’s cute!
It’s so stunning! [name_u]Love[/name_u] it
Not keen, it seems to be trying to hard… and definitely not with an alliterative surname (but to be fair, I rarely like them anyway)
I’m not a big fan, maybe as a middle
i love love love prairie! it’s a favorite of ours for our next girl. we already have a phoebe and our last name begins with the letter P as well
Georgia[/name_f]]I think it’s very cute. It’s super unique and a bold choice, but it’s a super sweet name.
I personally think the name [name_u]Prairie[/name_u] is unique and cute- puts a beautiful image in the head:) However, if I was gonna use this name I’d go simple with the middle names- nothing too exotic given the already uncommon first name. Middle names that sound cute and simple would be
[name_u]Prairie[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_u]Prairie[/name_u] [name_f]Elise[/name_f]
[name_u]Prairie[/name_u] [name_u]Julie[/name_u]-[name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_u]Prairie[/name_u] [name_f]Annalise[/name_f]
[name_u]Prairie[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_u]Prairie[/name_u] [name_f]Belle[/name_f]
[name_u]Prairie[/name_u] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f]
[name_u]Prairie[/name_u] [name_u]Taylor[/name_u]
[name_u]Prairie[/name_u] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]
I think [name_u]Prairie[/name_u] [name_f]Elise[/name_f] or [name_u]Prairie[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] go the cutest- best of wishes!
[name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_u]Prairie[/name_u].
One of my favorite names is [name_f]Meadow[/name_f], so [name_u]Prairie[/name_u] definitely ticks all of the boxes and gives me good vibes.
For [name_u]Prairie[/name_u], I picture a sweet little girl. More of a tomboy, not afraid to get dirty or be with the boys. But at the same time, soft, ethereal. Really do love this name.
As far as your last name beginning with a “P” as well, I don’t see it as an issue. Our last name begins with an “R” and my first born’s name is [name_m]Roman[/name_m]. At first I wasn’t sure how I felt about the alliteration, but in turn I actually love it. It sounds really nice.
Very pretty
