I have 3 weeks until my first baby girl arrives, I’m wondering what are your thoughts on the name [name_f]Emersyn[/name_f]? First impressions?
Thanks!!

My first impression is that it looks kr8tif and misspelled. I would use the spelling [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] if you indeed go that route, but I must admit I am not a fan of [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] on a girl.
I adore [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] (this spelling) for a boy. I have it on my medium list.
I also agree that emersyn is kr8tif. Im also not a fan of boys names used on girls. As a name itself, I think [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] is cute.

My first impression is that the name is trendy and has been spelt wrong. I agree with bluecurry I would use the spelling [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] as it just feels more classic and reduces potential spelling complications. In regards to ‘[name_u]Emerson[/name_u]’ on a girl I am not keen. There are range of ‘em’ names which are pretty and feminine such as [name_f]Emma[/name_f], [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f], [name_f]Emiliana[/name_f], [name_f]Emme[/name_f], [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] etc.
It’s not my style but it’s an okay name. It looks very trendy: unisex made more feminine by the -yn. I think of [name_f]Madisyn[/name_f] and [name_f]Addisyn[/name_f] being similar.
That said, there’s nothing wrong with it. [name_f]Emme[/name_f] would be a cute nickname if you chose it.
I also prefer the spelling, [name_u]Emerson[/name_u]. The y in your original spelling (in my opinion) makes it seem overly trendy/trying too hard to be different (and only succeeding at being a bit confusing). [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] is not my naming style, but I definitely see the appeal. It’s a very cute name!
I agree with PP. ^^^
I like the name but prefer it spelt [name_u]Emerson[/name_u]
I don’t mind [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] ( spelled this way) but I prefer [name_u]Emery[/name_u]!
I agree with previous posters about [name_f]Emersyn[/name_f] being creative. If you really want [name_f]Emersyn[/name_f], you should go for [name_u]Emerson[/name_u]. However, I think girls should not given names have end in -son.
I really dislike [name_u]Emerson[/name_u]/[name_f]Emersyn[/name_f]. It is too masculine for me. [name_m]How[/name_m] about:
[name_f]Emme[/name_f]
[name_u]Eloise[/name_u]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f]
[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Elise[/name_f]
[name_u]Darcy[/name_u]
[name_u]Delaney[/name_u]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]
[name_f]Margot[/name_f]
I know a [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] (boy) and an [name_f]Emersyn[/name_f] (girl), they are both very cute and sweet, so that is what I associate with the name. I love this name and I love the nn Emers.
No. I dislike the trendy -syn permutation and I immediately dislike “girl’s” names ending in -son.
