I am pregnant with our second child.
My sons name is [name_m]Collin[/name_m] [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] and we have chosen our girls name and are still a little indecisive on our boys names… [name_m]Just[/name_m] like to hear thoughts/impressions on names chosen:)
Girl : [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
Boy: [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] [name_u]Ryan[/name_u] or [name_m]Joshua[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m]
Not crazy over joshua, it just doesn’t feel like me but my husband suggested it. And wasn’t sure of how it sounded with [name_m]Anderson[/name_m]
I prefer [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] of the two boys names that you listed. It’s a timeless name. Although [name_m]Joshua[/name_m] has also had staying power, I still think of it as a fad name for some reason.
I’ve never liked [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m]. [name_m]Just[/name_m] the boys I’ve known with the name haven’t done anything for me. I don’t love [name_m]Joshua[/name_m] either, but I definitely prefer it over [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m]. [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f] is lovely, by the way!
I think all of the names you’ve got sound good with [name_m]Collin[/name_m]. [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] and [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] [name_u]Ryan[/name_u] are really nice.
For what it’s worth, I think [name_m]Joshua[/name_m] sounds pretty good with [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] - I know the "a"s meet at the transition, but [name_m]Joshua[/name_m] ends in a different-sounding “a” than [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] starts with. If you’re not thrilled with them together, [name_m]Joshua[/name_m] [name_u]Ryan[/name_u] would work too.
I might be biased because my brother is a [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m], but I think [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] [name_u]Ryan[/name_u] is a lovely combo. I’m not a fan of [name_m]Joshua[/name_m], but I prefer [name_m]Joshua[/name_m] [name_u]Ryan[/name_u] to [name_m]Joshua[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m].
Between [name_m]Joshua[/name_m] and [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m], I definitely prefer [name_m]Joshua[/name_m] (and, I prefer [name_m]Josh[/name_m] to [name_u]Nick[/name_u]). [name_m]Joshua[/name_m] sounds sweet, smart, and handsome. A soft, yet strong name, much like [name_m]Collin[/name_m]. I think [name_m]Joshua[/name_m] [name_u]Ryan[/name_u] would be a fantastic choice.
Also, (and someone correct me if I’m wrong), isn’t [name_m]Collin[/name_m] a diminutive of [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m]?
[name_f]Alyssa[/name_f] is a gorgeous name!
And [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] sounds great. But I do think the [name_f]Anne[/name_f] spelling is more appropriate as the [name_f]Ann[/name_f] spelling does look a little bit odd, to me.
