Thoughts on Names for Boy #3

[name_m]Hi[/name_m],

We are expecting our third boy in [name_f]September[/name_f]. His older siblings are [name_f]Norah[/name_f], [name_m]Leo[/name_m] & [name_m]Oliver[/name_m].

So far [name_m]Henry[/name_m] has been our top choice. I am still looking for other options though, just because. One name that has caught my eye lately is [name_m]Simon[/name_m].

What do you think - [name_m]Henry[/name_m] or [name_m]Simon[/name_m]? Or something else all together?? Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated! The middle name will likely be [name_m]Joseph[/name_m], which I don’t know if I love with [name_m]Simon[/name_m]…

Thanks for your help!

[name_m]Henry[/name_m] is probably my favorite boys name at the moment so I would vote for that. [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] is my second so that would be my other suggestion. ([name_m]Leo[/name_m] and [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] are in my top 5 and [name_m]Simon[/name_m] would make my top 10 too so in my opinion you can’t go wrong. )

Thanks! I love [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] but am afraid of the inevitable [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and [name_m]Leo[/name_m]…

Good point!

I love [name_m]Simon[/name_m]! I think it goes very well with your other children’s names and [name_m]Simon[/name_m] [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] is great combo. I say stick with [name_m]Simon[/name_m]!

I absolutely adore the idea of [name_m]Leo[/name_m], [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], and [name_m]Simon[/name_m] for three brothers, but with [name_f]Norah[/name_f] in the mix, I think I might lean toward [name_m]Henry[/name_m]. I think [name_f]Norah[/name_f], [name_m]Leo[/name_m], [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], and [name_m]Henry[/name_m] works slightly better than [name_f]Norah[/name_f], [name_m]Leo[/name_m], [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], and [name_m]Simon[/name_m], for some reason. I think I’m going to go with [name_m]Henry[/name_m], but I do love [name_m]Leo[/name_m], [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], and [name_m]Simon[/name_m] together so much!

I think both go well but [name_m]Simon[/name_m] is more unexpected and its such a great name. It has the ‘o’ sound to complement your other kids names n[name_f]Orah[/name_f], [name_m]LeO[/name_m], [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], [name_m]SimOn[/name_m], which is subtle but still nice that there’s the vowel link.

[name_m]Henry[/name_m] seems like a great choice! [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] brings a classic and trendy ring to it. [name_f]Norah[/name_f] and [name_m]Leo[/name_m] are trendy right now while [name_m]Olivier[/name_m] and [name_m]Henry[/name_m] are more subtle classical names.

I love this! I prefer [name_m]Simon[/name_m] anyway. It’s an underused classic, whereas [name_m]Henry[/name_m] is getting a little bit stale right now. [name_m]Henry[/name_m] is perfectly lovely, don’t get me wrong, but I’d love to see [name_m]Simon[/name_m] get some use. [name_m]Simon[/name_m] [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] is a great combo.

[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] was might first thought.

[name_m]Henry[/name_m]! I’m biased because I have one, but I am still SO in love with the name 21 months later. I’m struggling so much with baby boy #2 name b/c can’t find any I like more than [name_m]Henry[/name_m].

I like [name_m]Simon[/name_m] over [name_m]Henry[/name_m].

Suggestions:
[name_u]Tristan[/name_u]
[name_m]Cole[/name_m]
[name_u]Owen[/name_u]
[name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_u]Elliott[/name_u]
[name_m]Silas[/name_m]
[name_m]Julian[/name_m]

Thanks everyone! I like that [name_m]Simon[/name_m] is more surprising, and less common than [name_m]Henry[/name_m], but still a classic. But I have just always loved [name_m]Henry[/name_m], despite it’s popularity, which is why I am stuck!

So funny. I have a 3 yr old [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and I’m due any day …likely with a [name_m]Simon[/name_m]!

Originally my husband preferred [name_m]George[/name_m] over [name_m]Simon[/name_m] but there was something about [name_m]George[/name_m] I just couldn’t do and then I discovered that [name_m]George[/name_m] in Polish is [name_m]Jurek[/name_m] and then that was it. We still might do it as a mn.

So I guess you can’t go wrong with either name.
