Thoughts on Newton?

Basically- what do you think about [name_m]Newton[/name_m]?
Thoughts, feelings, images, impressions? Would love any feedback at all as threads on this name are hard to come by!
I feel like it has a slight old man chic, indie musician feel to it, but that may just be because of the [name_m]Newton[/name_m] [name_m]Faulkner[/name_m] association!
Also I thought the nn [name_m]Newt[/name_m] is sweet for a little boy?
All thoughts welcomed!

It is a cute name, but in my opinion the name is a little nerdy.

I think of [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_m]Newton[/name_m], so I picture it being used by parents who are interested in science. Never heard of [name_m]Newton[/name_m] [name_m]Faulkner[/name_m] before, but maybe I’ve been living under a rock. The sound of the name isn’t really my cup of tea but [name_m]Newt[/name_m] would be a cute nickname.

I think [name_m]Newton[/name_m] is a cute name. A bit nerdy but that’s sort of my style. I also think of [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_m]Newton[/name_m] and get a semi-science related vibe. The former House speaker is also named [name_m]Newt[/name_m]. I just picture whoever the nameholder is to be very smart.

I think of [name_m]Newt[/name_m] Scamander from [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m]. Not a positive or negative, just a thought.

Like, pp, I haven’t heard of [name_m]Newton[/name_m] [name_m]Faulkner[/name_m] and had to google him. Also like pp, I immediately think of [name_m]Newt[/name_m] Scamander or [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_m]Newton[/name_m]. I don’t think they’re bad associations, but I would be prepared for people to ask if one of them is the inspiration behind your kid’s name.
[name_m]Newton[/name_m] sounds quirky and very geek chic to me. The right child could definitely pull it off.

[name_f]Adore[/name_f] it!..

I really like it. But as others said makes me think of newt scamander

I think it works. It is actually growing on me a lot. I too think [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_m]Newton[/name_m] so it definitely had a science-y vibe to me. But a cool one.

Like others said I associate it with more of a nerdy vibe. I think it’s sweet and I like it, but I feel like it doesn’t translate as well to adulthood. Also, I tend to prefer stronger names. Huxton is on my short list

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I really like it but I think maybe my perception of it is generally different to other people’s? [name_m]Will[/name_m] carry on considering it as an option!

I think it’s quirky and deserves to be used.

I think of [name_f]Fig[/name_f] Newtons. And Sir [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_m]Newton[/name_m]. [name_m]Newt[/name_m] brings to mind the hilarious character [name_u]Gussie[/name_u] Fink-Nottle from P.G Wodehouse who repels all romantic interest because of his helpless fascination with newts. So yeah. Super nerdy. Which is not at all bad.
