What do you think of [name_f]Noemie[/name_f]? I’m partial to this spelling, but thoughts on [name_f]Noemi[/name_f] are welcome too!
What are your impressions? How would she wear throughout life? What images does she conjur up? Etc.
Are there any names you think are similar in terms of style, international appeal, etc?
TIA!
It always makes me think of [name_f]Naomi[/name_f]. But I think stylistically it’s a unique and international choice.

It’s the [name_u]French[/name_u] version of [name_f]Naomi[/name_f], so that connection makes sense
I like [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] too, but [name_f]Noemie[/name_f] sings a bit more to me. We seem to like international variations of common names (we have a M@riel and a Nik0lai, for example, along with C0ra and Bl@ise), so I think [name_f]Noemie[/name_f] sort of fits with our style.
I think it’s really lovely and sweet, with a charming wintery vibe, maybe because it reminds me of [name_u]Noel[/name_u] and [name_f]Noelle[/name_f]! I do prefer [name_f]Noemi[/name_f] to [name_f]Noemie[/name_f] quite a bit, because to me [name_f]Noemie[/name_f] looks “made up”, more like a creative spelling of [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] than a name of its own.

[name_f]Noemie[/name_f] is gorgeous! Warm, powerful and lovely - I really like the sounds! It has a sort of ‘summer-holiday’ feel to it, something floral about it, something slightly outdoorsy and sunny!
I do slightly prefer [name_f]Noemi[/name_f] though, but I like -i end sounds

I really love [name_f]Noemie[/name_f] (if prefer this spelling as well, noemi feels incomplete and too close to Naomi) its much softer and daintier than [name_f]Naomi[/name_f]. But it syill has some quiet strength to it.

I love, love [name_f]Noemie[/name_f] and have friends with a teenage [name_f]Noemi[/name_f]. It suits her beautifully and will suit her at any age, IMO. I slightly prefer the [name_f]Noemi[/name_f] spelling and I think it would be more intuitive. [name_f]Noemie[/name_f] has an International vibe which I’m drawn too.

I completely get that the spelling [name_f]Noemi[/name_f] is more common and intuitive, so that makes sense that its generally preferred. I still love the [name_u]French[/name_u] [name_f]Noemie[/name_f] most of all

I like [name_f]Noemi[/name_f]. Less common version of [name_f]Naomi[/name_f], but it looks similar and at first glance, might look like [name_f]Naomi[/name_f], causing some pronunciation issues??

I think it certainly could (would?) be confused with [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] and mispronounced in English-speaking countries, but we’re not so worried about confusion because we’re a European-American family living in Europe. [name_f]Noemi[/name_f] actually seems more common in other languages than [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] (from what I can tell it’s the standard version in most Romance and Slavic languages).
I definitely have a strong preference for [name_f]Noemi[/name_f] over [name_f]Noemie[/name_f]. [name_f]Noemie[/name_f] just feels a bit made up and reminds me of gnomes, where [name_f]Noemi[/name_f] sounds strong.
Overall, I think [name_f]Noemi[/name_f] is a beautiful name. It is well-worn at many ages. I imagine someone who is graceful and studious. She will occasionally be called [name_f]Naomi[/name_f], but I don’t see that as being too annoying.
