[name_m]Just[/name_m] heard the name Oaklyn or [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] for a girl and kind of like it… honest thoughts on either name?? Also if you like it do you have any middle name suggestions?
I love it! I know it’s trendy but there’s nothing wrong with that.

I like [name_u]Oakley[/name_u]! Gives me spunky, Western, [name_f]Annie[/name_f] [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] sort of vibes. Could go with either a more feminine/classic middle ([name_u]Oakley[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f], etc.) or a more modern, one syllable middle ([name_u]Oakley[/name_u] [name_f]Greer[/name_f], [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] [name_u]Sloane[/name_u], etc.)
Not a fan of Oaklyn. (HATE the trend of throwing -lyn on the end of whatever first syllable. Looks/sounds like one of those “made up” sort of trendy names happening a lot lately, [name_f]IMO[/name_f].)
My cousin’s dog’s name is [name_u]Oakley[/name_u], and I owned a pair of [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] sunglasses in junior high, so I have a negative bias toward using that name on any human.
I love it and it will be the name for my daughter! It’s unique and very cute! It works better for a girl than a boy. Yeah it’s a brand of sunglasses but who cares.
It’s a beautiful name for a girl!
Neither are my style but I think [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] sounds much nicer! I was also going to suggest a classic middle such as [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] or [name_f]Jane[/name_f].
I know a little girl named [name_u]Oakley[/name_u], it fits her well. I like an ends with -a 3 syllable middle- you have a few of those on your list already. I also think a 1 syllable middle would sound good.
I much prefer [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] to Oaklyn. [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] is a cool surname name ([name_f]Annie[/name_f] [name_u]Oakley[/name_u], [name_u]Tyler[/name_u] [name_u]Oakley[/name_u], etc), Oaklyn is trendy and sounds made up
[name_u]Oakley[/name_u] is one of my biggest guilty pleasures! While it doesn’t fit my style, I love the old western feel, the [name_f]Annie[/name_f] [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] connection is something that I find really awesome about it. I think it works! Oaklyn could work as well, but I’m not a big fan.
I love [name_u]Oak[/name_u] for a male, as a middle. I feel the same way about [name_u]Oakley[/name_u], though there is the [name_f]Annie[/name_f] [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] thing so it works for a girl too.
Oaklyn though to me sounds like a good name for a cemetery or one of those housing developments with no oaks, a Quail [name_m]Ridge[/name_m] with no quail or [name_m]Hawk[/name_m] Mountain with no hawks kind of name.
This whole -lyn and -leigh thing irks me. But that’s irrelevant if you love the name and think it will work well for your daughter.
I like [name_u]Oakley[/name_u], I really dislike Oaklyn. To me, they are both trendy, but Oaklyn is the only one that is painfully trendy. As someone else mentioned, I like that [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] is associated with [name_f]Annie[/name_f] [name_u]Oakley[/name_u], and even the sunglasses brand isn’t a bad association (I mean, they’re pretty classy shades). I love the suggestions of [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] [name_f]Madeline[/name_f], and [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] [name_f]Margot[/name_f], [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] [name_f]Hannah[/name_f], [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], or [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] [name_f]Serena[/name_f]?
[name_u]Oakley[/name_u] is okay. It’s not my style but it’s not a bad name. Not a fan of Oaklyn.
I love it - I think I slightly prefer [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] but Oaklyn is super sweet too!
[name_u]Oakley[/name_u] is the number 1 girls name in my state, so I hear it a lot. I like it, though, but it’s definitely trendy. Reminds me of the [name_u]Aiden[/name_u] trend because it feels very heavily saturated in my area.
Oaklyn isn’t my favorite. I grew up next to Oakland and it’s not really a place I’d want to name my child after.
