What are your thoughts on the name Olive? Do you think it will hold up well for an adult? Do you know anyone named Olive?
One of my absolute favourite names. I think it could definitely suit an adult. It is a timeless name that feels vintage but not trendy. Great choice.
I actually teach a little three year old [name_f]Olive[/name_f]! It helps that she is utterly adorable and a complete doll, but she has really made me love the name. I wasn’t too fussed about it before, and then I met her and it’s become one of my favourites at the moment! As I can’t see past my little three year old for now, I’m not sure I can justifiably say that it will hold up well, but it’s definitely one that I’d love to see become more popular.
[name_f]Olive[/name_f] is lovely timeless name a favourite of mine that suits all ages.
I know one little girl named [name_f]Olive[/name_f] she’s 5 years old and so sweet
[name_f]Olive[/name_f] is cute and quirky!
I don’t know one personally but I have overheard one and it suited her well
[name_u]Love[/name_u] it
I adore the name [name_f]Olive[/name_f]. It’s quirky but very wearable, especially with the nickname Oli. I’ve come across a few children with the name but no adults. In saying that, I’ve just recently read a book in which one of the main characters - a woman in her thirties - was [name_f]Olive[/name_f] nn Oli and it definitely felt like it worked on a grown woman.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] it [name_f]Edith[/name_f] and [name_f]Olive[/name_f] would be a perfect sibset, imo.
I like [name_f]Olive[/name_f]! I think it’s cute on any age which is great. It feels like an alternative for the ever so popular [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] but with more spunk.
I really like [name_f]Olive[/name_f]! It’s not a name I can use personally but I feel like she has the old-fashioned spunk of [name_f]Maud[/name_f] and [name_u]Hazel[/name_u], but with a little bit more familiarity because of the similar Olivia/Oliver.
I absolutely love Olive. It’s so fresh and nature-y. I definitely think it could work on all ages, especially with the nickname Liv.
i adore olive
she has been one of my top names for the longest time, and that will probably never change. imo, she gives off quirky and down-to-earth vibes, and fits in with a lot of current name trends- without being too trendy!
[name_f]My[/name_f] 3 year old daughter is [name_f]Olive[/name_f]! So I obviously love it.
Nice to read all the positive feedback.
I know of two other toddlers called [name_f]Olive[/name_f]. It’s a bit more popular than I would like but no regrets. I love that it’s sweet but strong sounding. She called herself Oli when she couldn’t pronounce the “ve” part and it’s stuck as a nn
I really love [name_f]Olive[/name_f], it’s cute but has a wonderful solid sound, no frills. Definitely a spunky name that I think fits perfectly at all ages.
I love [name_f]Olive[/name_f]. If I didn’t have a ton of Olivers in my family it would be right at the top of my list !!
I adore [name_f]Olive[/name_f]. It’s fun but not childish at all, I think it works well for every age.
I used to dislike it a lot, but I will admit that it has grown on me to the point that I now find it utterly charming.
