I came across [name_f]Onora[/name_f] on today’s blog post and I like it! What do others thing? Nickname potential of [name_f]Noor[/name_f], which I love too!
it feels very exotic! I think I like spelling [name_f]Honora[/name_f] better (I assume they’re pronounced the same?), but both sound pretty!
[name_f]Onora[/name_f] is very pretty, but I have a preference for it spelled with the H. Depending on how you pronounce [name_f]Noor[/name_f] - yes, it would make a great nickname. I pronounce my daughter’s name to rhyme with the last name [name_m]Moore[/name_m] or the word Tour.
I prefer [name_f]Honora[/name_f] and better yet [name_f]Honor[/name_f].
I like the Irish connection to [name_f]Onora[/name_f] and would actually prefer [name_f]Annora[/name_f] to [name_f]Honor[/name_f] or [name_f]Honora[/name_f]. For [name_f]Onora[/name_f], I would pronounce it a-nore-uh, which is slightly different than [name_f]Honora[/name_f].
In that case, [name_f]Onora[/name_f] is best indeed. I think it is a lot more aesthetically pleasing than [name_f]Annora[/name_f], which despite being an actual name looks like a mash-up of [name_f]Anna[/name_f] and [name_f]Nora[/name_f].
Ha! It does indeed!
So lovely!
Definitely exotic! But personally I think it looks really ugly, a little too… onerous. [name_f]Sonora[/name_f], [name_f]Annora[/name_f], [name_f]Honora[/name_f], [name_f]Leonora[/name_f], [name_f]Nora[/name_f] - all beautiful and much better options in my mind!
It’s pretty, but I think [name_f]Annora[/name_f] would be more recognizable and less confusing. You still get the same nickname out of it.
[name_f]Onora[/name_f] looks misspelled and you’d have loads of pronunciation issues with it. If you like that sound, I suggest you use [name_f]Honora[/name_f], or maybe even just [name_f]Nora[/name_f].
