What do you think of either,
[name_m]Oscar[/name_m] [name_m]Fox[/name_m],
[name_m]Oscar[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u],
As a brother for [name_m]Jed[/name_m] ([name_m]Jedidiah[/name_m]) [name_m]George[/name_m] W.

[name_m]Oscar[/name_m] is an awesome name! (I’m sad that my bf doesn’t like it). It is an international, literary and spunky name.
I could not choose between [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] [name_m]Fox[/name_m] because they are both amazing!
That’s exactly my problem! [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] [name_m]Fox[/name_m] W is awesome and I love it, but [name_u]James[/name_u] is a family name.
I love [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] but those -iah names sound so incredibly biblical to me (they’re really not used here) that I don’t think quirky [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] sounds right with it.
Between [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] [name_m]Fox[/name_m] and [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u], I prefer the latter.
I am a huge fan of [name_m]Oscar[/name_m], but I feel like it’s a mismatch with your son. [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] is vintage and getting trendy, while [name_m]Jedidiah[/name_m] is religious and uncommon (bonus points for the latter!! [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_m]Jed[/name_m])
[name_m]Hi[/name_m] @honeypear!
[name_m]Oscar[/name_m] is fantastic. His lovable brand of quirkiness is a good match for [name_m]George[/name_m] {I’d use him in the middle, too}.
For an equivalent first name, I’d suggest:
[name_m]Jedidiah[/name_m] {and} [name_m]Barnabas[/name_m], [name_m]Bartholomew[/name_m], [name_m]Ebenezer[/name_m], [name_m]Gideon[/name_m], [name_m]Phineas[/name_m], [name_m]Thaddeus[/name_m], [name_m]Zebulon[/name_m]
{Colonial names}
I actually do not like the name [name_m]Oscar[/name_m]. It was my former stepfather’s name, and he hated it (he was a junior). Anyhow, of the two you listed, I like [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]. [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] [name_m]Fox[/name_m] has too much of an “[name_m]AH[/name_m]” sound.
I really love [name_m]Jedidiah[/name_m]! I think @apollonia’s suggestion of [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] would go great with it. [name_m]Jed[/name_m] and Gid is cute
[name_m]Oscar[/name_m] doesn’t seem to fit well with [name_m]Jedidiah[/name_m]. A choice between the two would be [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u], giving him a classic middle name to go by if he finds that [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] doesn’t fit him.

I’m in the minority, but I really dislike [name_m]Oscar[/name_m]. All I think of is [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] [name_m]Meyer[/name_m] Weiner.
I love [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] [name_m]Fox[/name_m]! It’s got that great mix of Classic and playful. However, [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] matches more with Zedediah [name_m]George[/name_m]. So I would say [name_u]James[/name_u] if you want to match but [name_m]Fox[/name_m] if you want a name that sounds better. It just comes down to that!
