Thoughts on our choices?

So my husband and I are currently pregnant with our first baby. We are about 21 weeks and wanting to find out the sex, but baby wasn’t cooperative at our ultrasound yesterday. We are a biracial family, my husband is [name_f]East[/name_f] African and I am white American, but we live in [name_f]East[/name_f] [name_f]Africa[/name_f]. We would like names that can work in either culture, but generally are not too popular/common in either. Our name choices are kind of a mix of both Western and African options. My husband is also really big on meaning. What do you think of our choices? Did you think they can work as a sibset despite the vast cultural differences? Last name is 2 syllables beginning ending with -ah sound. Middles names are family names.

For girls we had a really hard time and finally we fell in love with [name_f]Leona[/name_f] meaning “lioness”

[name_f]Leona[/name_f] [name_u]Kay[/name_u]
[name_f]Leona[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]

([name_f]Catherine[/name_f] “[name_u]Kay[/name_u]” was my grandma’s name)

For boys:
Enzi Dismas (Enzi means “powerful” in Swahili)
[name_u]James[/name_u] Ogutu ([name_u]James[/name_u] is my father’s mn, Ogutu was my DH’s father’s name and DH’s middle name)

[name_f]Leona[/name_f] [name_u]Kay[/name_u] is gorgeous.

I love all your options. [name_f]Leona[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] and [name_f]Leona[/name_f] [name_u]Kay[/name_u] are beautiful and has a beautiful sentimental meaning to you! I slightly prefer [name_f]Leona[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] flow wise. I really love the sound of Enzi Dismas! Enzi and [name_f]Leona[/name_f] are lovely siblings too. [name_u]James[/name_u] Ogutu is handsome as well but doesn’t wow me as much as Enzi does. Does Dismas have any special meaning, your just a name you guys like with Enzi? Enzi [name_u]James[/name_u] would be handsome and have a nice ode to one of the grandparents.

I really like [name_f]Leona[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] and Enzi Dismas - what about Enzi [name_u]James[/name_u] ?

Dismas is my husband’s name. In his culture, most kids (both male and female) all get their father’s name as their second name which some use as their surname while others use their third/family name. We’ve discussed it and decided not to use it for all of our kids, but I think it would be nice at least for the first boy. [name_u]James[/name_u] has been my top boy name for years and we did consider using it in the middle too (because I would hate to only have one boy and never get to use it) but I just dont feel ready to give it up as a potential first.

I like all your options and think they work fine in the US and as a sibset. The middle names would be unfamiliar in the US but that won’t really cause problems.
