Thoughts on our front runner name?

I think we’ve nailed it down, but I’d like to see what people’s reactions are to this name:
Brayton Jameis

(pronounced [name_m]Jame[/name_m]-iss)

Thanks for your input!

The [name_u]Bray[/name_u] in brayton reminds me of a donkey and I would suggest [name_u]Jameson[/name_u] instead of Jameis.

I am sorry, but both Brayton and Jameis look made-up. What about [name_m]Braxton[/name_m]?

Where I live, [name_m]Braden[/name_m]/[name_u]Brayden[/name_u] is so popular that I’m sure a Brayton would always be mistaken for one of those spellings/pronunciations. I don’t mind Jameis, but I also like [name_u]Jameson[/name_u] better. (Of course, if your last name ends in -son, I’d probably avoid that.) Jameis certainly wouldn’t be easy for people to pronounce, but the good thing about middle names is that they won’t often need to be read out in roll call or anything like that. You can go a little more unique with MN’s.

Not particularly crazy about either of them, but especially the spelling of Jameis. You’ll probably have to tell people how to pronounce it, a lot. Brayton seems like a cross of both [name_m]Braden[/name_m] and [name_u]Brighton[/name_u] so it might get confused with one of those.

I think Brayton is ok, but I don’t really like Jameis. Brayton is already a rare first name so I think the more traditional [name_u]James[/name_u] would compliment it better. When put together Brayton and Jameis feel a bit made-up.

Thanks for your input ladies. Brayton is a family name and I like that it’s a little different than the more popular [name_u]Braydon[/name_u]/ [name_m]Braden[/name_m]. We really like [name_u]Jameson[/name_u] for the middle but were afraid of having the two names end in “on”
