I’m currently about 40 weeks + 5 days and I think baby number 2 should be arriving tonight! Fingers crossed!
Unsure whether we are having a boy or girl yet, and have a few names on the list as we want to wait-and-see suss-out-his/her-personality before we decide; but wanted to get some thoughts on the combination we are highly considering for a girl.
We already have a son named [name_u]Gene[/name_u]. Top contender for another boy would be [name_u]August[/name_u].
For a girl, I have always loved the name [name_u]Lou[/name_u]. Simple and sweet and a little bit spunky. I knew a [name_u]Lou[/name_u] growing up and she wore it well. I love the nickname [name_f]Lulu[/name_f]/LouLou but wouldn’t use it as a birth name. Despite loving the name I do occasionally get put off by the [name_u]Lou[/name_u]/loo comment potential. I have never really associated it with that with the person I knew, so maybe it won’t be a problem?
Anyway, our surname starts with an E, and so I have been getting caught up in having two middle names for [name_u]Lou[/name_u] to make her initials spell out LOVE.
Does it flow? What are your immediate thoughts on it? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like [name_u]Lou[/name_u] & [name_u]Gene[/name_u] as a brother sister combination?
Would love any other L.O.V.E. name suggestions that you feel may flow nicely.
Thank you very much for your reply!
Never thought of just having a V middle name and may consider this. Not wanting to over-force the L.O.V.E initial idea, I just fell in love with the idea when I started combining a few names together.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_u]Vesper[/name_u], [name_f]Vada[/name_f] and [name_u]October[/name_u] as middle name alternatives, thank you.
Glad you feel the combination I have flows fine and goes well with [name_u]Gene[/name_u].
Thank you! [name_f]My[/name_f] folks are visiting from interstate tomorrow morning so the pressure is on!! Had a couple of “false alarms” so far so could be just kidding myself that things are starting to progress!
Congrats! I like [name_u]Lou[/name_u], though I do prefer it as a nn for [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]/Louise, but it’s still is sweet, and goes well with [name_u]Gene[/name_u]. I also like the suggestion of having only a V mn, since [name_u]Lou[/name_u] has an O already.
Thank you for your thoughts on this! I do like [name_u]Lou[/name_u] [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] and [name_u]Lou[/name_u] [name_f]Veda[/name_f].
Also, I am starting to warm to [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] all of a sudden, so will keep that at the back of my mind.
Lou is so sweet and feels full of life and personality in a little name. It goes great with [name_u]Gene[/name_u]!
I’m also personally not a big fan of double middles and think the suggestion of just a V middle would still give LOVE initials.
Like
[name_u]Lou[/name_u] [name_u]Valentine[/name_u]
[name_u]Lou[/name_u] [name_f]Valencia[/name_f]
[name_u]Lou[/name_u] [name_f]Varena[/name_f]
[name_u]Lou[/name_u] [name_f]Vardith[/name_f]
[name_u]Lou[/name_u] [name_f]Vesta[/name_f]
[name_u]Lou[/name_u] [name_f]Veranina[/name_f]
As far as two middles what you have flows nicely and is beautiful!
I looove [name_u]Lou[/name_u]! And it’s so cute with [name_u]Gene[/name_u]! LOVE initials are really sweet. Lots of great suggestions already. [name_f]My[/name_f] fave O names are [name_f]Olive[/name_f], [name_f]Odette[/name_f], [name_f]Opal[/name_f] and [name_f]Opaline[/name_f].
Or [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_u]Valentine[/name_u] if you end up going with [name_f]Louisa[/name_f]! She’s almost a V-day baby
I think it flows well and goes nicely with [name_u]Gene[/name_u]. I know someone with a [name_u]Lou[/name_u], although hers is short for [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], and that would mess up your L.O.V.E. initials.
Louisa [name_u]Valentine[/name_u] for V-day is sweet too.
