Boys:
- Mason J. IV “MJ”
- Mack Tiberius _______ “Mack”
- Harold Clooney _______ “Harry/Hank”
Girls:
- Auburn Posy ________ “AP”
- Mary Catherine _________
- Elizabeth Hazel _________ “Libba/Bizza”
MJ, Mack, Harold, Mary, Posy, and Hazel are family names.
Tiberius is a nod to my mom, the place where the rose of Sharon originally grew.
Clooney means “meadow;” the same meaning as both of my grandfathers names. It is also my Dad’s nickname. (We travel internationally regularly & he gets mistaken for George Clooney all the time.)
Auburn University is where DH & I went to college.
Catherine & Elizabeth are both names I have loved forever.
We are planning to begin the adoption process in about a year. It is extremely important to us that our children have family names to connect them to us & our family/heritage. Of course, upon meeting an adoptee we could love the name they already have or feel something else is more appropriate. We plan to have any internationally adopted child or older child have part of their original name as a second middle.
I would love to hear what you guys think about our choices & suggestions on what names you would use in the second middle name spot!
(Should that child be an infant or if we choose not have any part of their birth name used legal issues, safety concerns, difficult spelling/pronunciation/etc.)
We like a balance of classic & unique. DH’s family is Greek & his sister has a beautiful Greek name. I would love some Greek suggestions thrown in! Last name is one syllable, starts with G.
