Thoughts on our names

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] berries,
We’re expecting a little girl in [name_f]October[/name_f]. We have some names but aren’t sold yet. I have a son named [name_m]Nolan[/name_m] [name_u]Casey[/name_u].
[name_f]My[/name_f] husband loves the name [name_f]Maisie[/name_f]. I feel [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] [name_u]Casey[/name_u] sounds odd. What are your thoughts?
I also have : Esmé, [name_f]Violette[/name_f], [name_f]Mae[/name_f] , [name_f]Layla[/name_f] or [name_f]Gemma[/name_f]…
Names are not easy to pick , thanks for your input!

I agree that [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] [name_u]Casey[/name_u] doesn’t flow very well. I love [name_f]Layla[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] and [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] of your options. I think that [name_f]Violette[/name_f] and [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] go best with your surname. [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] is my pick!

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this is helpful!

Yeah, I don’t think [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] [name_u]Casey[/name_u] works very well. [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] gets my vote! I love [name_m]Nolan[/name_m] & [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] together.

[name_f]Maisie[/name_f] [name_u]Casey[/name_u] rhymes too much, so I wouldn’t use it. Esmé sounds too S and A heavy with the last name [name_u]Casey[/name_u]. [name_f]Mae[/name_f] and [name_f]Layla[/name_f] sound too A heavy with [name_u]Casey[/name_u]. [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_u]Casey[/name_u] is my favorite!

[name_f]Maisie[/name_f] [name_u]Casey[/name_u] rhymes too much for my liking. [name_f]My[/name_f] favorites are [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_u]Casey[/name_u] or [name_f]Violette[/name_f] [name_u]Casey[/name_u].

[name_f]Maisie[/name_f] does rhyme a bit too much with your surname. I feel like Esmé [name_u]Casey[/name_u] or [name_f]Layla[/name_f] [name_u]Casey[/name_u] would work really well though!

What about [name_f]Marcie[/name_f] or [name_f]Marnie[/name_f] instead?

I love [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] and [name_f]Esme[/name_f] for you.

I’d also suggest [name_f]Mabel[/name_f], [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] and [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]

I love the elegant simplicity of [name_f]Mae[/name_f] and I think [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is less “sing songy” than [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] [name_u]Casey[/name_u].

[name_f]Mae[/name_f] [name_f]Violette[/name_f] [name_u]Casey[/name_u] has a nice ring to it. I also like [name_f]Layla[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] [name_u]Casey[/name_u] but I think that combo has a southern lilt built in, which I personally love!

Perhaps I’m biased because I just watched a masterpiece classic, and [name_f]Lady[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] was such an elegant, kind hearted, and independent badass!

I agree with @GringaLoca I absolutely love [name_f]Mae[/name_f] as a first name! It’s so fresh and yet recognizable! A real sweet, vintage feel. [name_f]Mae[/name_f] [name_f]Violette[/name_f] [name_u]Casey[/name_u] is gorgeous! So well balanced and elegant!

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps!

I love all of your names except [name_f]Maisie[/name_f]. I think it sounds too close to your last name.

What about [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] [name_u]Casey[/name_u]? I agree with others that I love [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] & [name_m]Nolan[/name_m] together. Your husband could even call her [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] as his little nickname for her, based off her middle name ([name_f]Mae[/name_f]). [name_f]My[/name_f] dad calls me Roo 80% of the time even though it’s not a name that is remotely connected to my actual name.

Thank you so much for all the replies Berries , I will show my hubby. Def not taking [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] . And will most certainly consider the suggested names

[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Mae[/name_f] [name_f]Violette[/name_f] [name_u]Casey[/name_u] and use [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] as a nn for [name_f]Mae[/name_f]? Solves the surname issue and means both you and your husband get to use names you love.
