[name_f]Valencia[/name_f] - I think it’s a beautiful name. It does remind me of the city, but I don’t think it matches the style of her brother’s name. I would make it a middle name.
[name_u]Ember[/name_u] - Not my style, but it goes well with [name_u]Toby[/name_u]. You would, as you pointed out, have to correct people a lot who think it’s [name_f]Amber[/name_f] that is either something you can live with or not.
[name_f]Alba[/name_f] - I love [name_f]Alba[/name_f]. It’s such a sweet name but at the same time I see it would also work in adulthood. [name_u]Toby[/name_u] and [name_f]Alba[/name_f] are adorable together. [name_f]Alba[/name_f] got my vote.
I voted for [name_f]Alba[/name_f]. It’s short, sweet, unusual, and so versatile!
I would go with [name_f]Alba[/name_f] or [name_u]Ember[/name_u]. They are both lovely and sound good with [name_u]Toby[/name_u]. I love both, but [name_f]Alba[/name_f] is probably slightly ahead.
[name_f]Valencia[/name_f] is my favourite but I think [name_u]Toby[/name_u] and [name_f]Alba[/name_f] sound really cute together!
I completely agree that [name_f]Alba[/name_f] and [name_u]Ember[/name_u] goes with [name_u]Toby[/name_u] a lot more than [name_f]Valencia[/name_f] does. But I don’t know that I want that to be the reason that we choose one name over another, if you know what I mean?
I love [name_f]Valencia[/name_f]!
I think [name_f]Valencia[/name_f] is really pretty. As it is so long, she would most probably get ‘[name_u]Val[/name_u]’ for short. [name_u]Ember[/name_u] would probably get ‘[name_f]Em[/name_f]’. [name_f]Alba[/name_f] would probably stay as a full name or maybe get ‘[name_m]Al[/name_m]’. It’s always important to think of the shortened forms too! [name_f]Alba[/name_f] gets my vote. It fits so well with names today but still stands out as unique and modern. A rare find!
I’m not a huge fan of [name_u]Val[/name_u], we’d probably shorten [name_f]Valencia[/name_f] to [name_f]Valley[/name_f]. Although [name_f]Em[/name_f] and [name_m]Al[/name_m] are cute if people feel the need to shorten [name_u]Ember[/name_u] and [name_f]Alba[/name_f]
I like [name_u]Ember[/name_u] the best ([name_f]Alba[/name_f] just brings to mind [name_f]Jessica[/name_f] [name_f]Alba[/name_f]). What about [name_u]Ember[/name_u] [name_f]Valencia[/name_f]? That sounds pretty =]
I actually have a cousin named [name_f]Valentina[/name_f], and I call her [name_f]Valley[/name_f]. It’s so cute!
[name_u]Ember[/name_u] [name_f]Valencia[/name_f] does sound lovely. Although as our son has two middle names we’d like to give this one two as well.
Thanks for all your help with this berries, although we both still really like [name_u]Ember[/name_u] and [name_f]Alba[/name_f], we both seem to have fallen completely in love with [name_f]Valencia[/name_f], and this post has made us realise this
I think [name_f]Valencia[/name_f] is just gorgeous. If I am honest I am not a fan of the others.
Oh, oops, didn’t realize the two middles thing! My mistake.
This is my first time hearing of [name_f]Valencia[/name_f], and while I was unsure how I felt about it in my last post, I think I’m really liking it now, as well. It’s so great that you found the name!
Any combos you two have in mind?
It’s not your mistake, I didn’t specify.
The problem we have is that I’d really like to use [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] as one of the middle names (after my grandmother), but that’s making her name really long, especially as our last name is also three syllables. So we’re thinking maybe something like
[name_f]Valencia[/name_f] [name_f]Fern[/name_f] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f]
[name_f]Valencia[/name_f] [name_m]Fox[/name_m] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f]
I think we need a one syllable name in between the two longer ones, any other ideas?
Or do you think that’s too long anyway? If we don’t use [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f], I’d like one of her middle names to be [name_m]French[/name_m] at least. Open to suggestions on this too
I love love [name_u]Ember[/name_u]! Mostly because I love fire. But it has a nice sound, and even though it’s similar to [name_f]Amber[/name_f] it doesn’t at all have the same connotations.
[name_f]Valencia[/name_f] is nice, especially because [name_u]California[/name_u] and Spain are beautiful places to name your child after. I like [name_u]Val[/name_u] as a nickname. The only issue i have with it is slight resemblance to [name_m]Vincent[/name_m], which I dislike.
[name_f]Alba[/name_f] is a very nice name, along the lines of similar [name_f]Alma[/name_f] and [name_f]Alta[/name_f] which I also love. My only issue with it is that I see it all the time in the beauty aisle, so it’s become a bit of a brand.
