Thoughts on Paxton and usability with brother Felix

Its me again searching for more nameberry advice. [name_u]Paxton[/name_u] is a name we have been throwing around for some time. I like the meaning and [name_u]Pax[/name_u] is a cool nn. My question is whether [name_u]Paxton[/name_u] nn [name_u]Pax[/name_u] would mesh well with [name_m]Felix[/name_m] or would it be too much of a matchy mouthful? Each having an X might be cool, but might be too much. Also, does it fit well as a sibling to [name_m]Felix[/name_m]? As usual general thoughts on the name and other suggestions encouraged. Thanks

I don’t think [name_u]Paxton[/name_u] works with [name_m]Felix[/name_m], [name_u]Paxton[/name_u] has a modern/ trendy vibe and [name_m]Felix[/name_m] feels fresh but classic. From your list I really like [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] with [name_m]Felix[/name_m].

I would also suggest:
[name_m]Jasper[/name_m]
[name_u]Dexter[/name_u]
[name_u]Dean[/name_u]
[name_m]Julian[/name_m]
[name_m]Wesley[/name_m]
[name_m]Harvey[/name_m]
[name_m]Travis[/name_m]
[name_m]Trevor[/name_m]

I like [name_u]Pax[/name_u] a whole lot more than [name_u]Paxton[/name_u], quite honestly. I agree with the pp that it has a modern/trendy feel due to its similarity to names like [name_m]Braxton[/name_m], [name_m]Daxton[/name_m], [name_u]Payton[/name_u] and the bajillion other surname names in -ton which are popular right now. I also personally find the x’s in both names to be a little much - doable, certainly, but a bit too “themed”-feeling for me.

[name_m]Felix[/name_m] (which I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u], by the way) has a quirky, off-beat, old-school, dare-I-say-it-hipster feel to it. I think all of the other names on your list fit sooo much better; my personal favourites with [name_m]Felix[/name_m] are [name_m]Casper[/name_m], [name_m]Edwin[/name_m] and [name_m]Soren[/name_m]. All would be simply incredible!

I think it works fine.
As a side note I wish [name_m]Felix[/name_m] weren’t getting so popular. I thought it was ‘my little secret’ :stuck_out_tongue:
