I love the name [name_u]Rooney[/name_u] for a girl. Is it too out there? Middle would be [name_u]June[/name_u], [name_u]Rooney[/name_u] [name_u]June[/name_u] . Siblings are [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and [name_u]Sunny[/name_u]. What are you thoughts?
I really like [name_u]Rooney[/name_u] for a girl! I think it’s sweet and spunky. [name_u]Rooney[/name_u] [name_u]June[/name_u] is cute, and I think [name_u]Rooney[/name_u] works with the sibling names.

[name_u]Rooney[/name_u] is very spunky and sounds great with [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and [name_u]Sunny[/name_u]. [name_u]Rooney[/name_u] [name_u]June[/name_u] is a little singsong with the double “oo” sound, but I like it - it’s a fun name to say.

I’ve thought about the name [name_u]Rooney[/name_u] a lot because I think it’s sweet, but it reminds me too much of the horrible principal from [name_m]Ferris[/name_m] [name_m]Bueller[/name_m]’s [name_u]Day[/name_u] Off. There’s also the [name_u]Rooney[/name_u] [name_f]Mara[/name_f] connection, though, which is much better.

I think the double ‘oo’ sound is a bit too much and for some reason I find [name_u]Rooney[/name_u] and [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] to be a bit too matchy somehow. It’s not the same sound but it just feels too similar for me.
Love love love [name_u]Rooney[/name_u]! I don’t think it’s out there at all. It’s completely unisex to me. I think I maybe lean towards liking it in a girl, but I do really like it on a boy as well! [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] (great names!!) are pretty different in style in my mind and I don’t love the ‘oo’ sound in both [name_u]Rooney[/name_u] and [name_u]June[/name_u], but if [name_u]Rooney[/name_u]’s the name, then I’d still use it.

Seems kind of outlandish to me. I prefer it as a NN. [name_f]Runa[/name_f]/Roona work. But if you love it, then use it, I guess.

Well I mean, it’s my surname so I’m definitely biased when it comes to the name [name_u]Rooney[/name_u]! I love it, and plan on giving it as a second middle to any children I have. I’d love to see it around more as a first name, and I think it goes very well with siblings [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and [name_u]Sunny[/name_u]. [name_u]Rooney[/name_u] [name_u]June[/name_u], while a little heavy on the “oo” sound, is lovely! Overall the combo seems bright and cheerful to me.

Personally, I’m not crazy about [name_u]Rooney[/name_u] [name_u]June[/name_u] as a combo — the repeated “OON” sound feels quite obvious to me. Is [name_u]June[/name_u] definitely set in the middle spot?
I personally think [name_u]Rooney[/name_u]’s too out there, but I think I could kinda see it with her siblings’ names. I agree with the PPs that mentioned the repeating OON in [name_u]Rooney[/name_u] [name_u]June[/name_u]. It just sounds really off to me.
Rooney automatically reminds me of the footballer [name_m]Wayne[/name_m] [name_u]Rooney[/name_u]; depending on where you’re from, some people might think of it as an honor name. Similar to someone naming their son [name_u]Brady[/name_u] or [name_m]Tiger[/name_m]. [name_u]Rooney[/name_u] [name_u]June[/name_u] also comes off as a little too match-y, but the name itself is cute! [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] are adorable

It seems a bit too nickname-y to me on it’s own. Perhaps you would like [name_u]Romilly[/name_u] nn [name_u]Romy[/name_u]? I feel like that has a similar feel, but she would have a more professional name to fall back on.
