Hey everyone! As title says, what do you think about [name_f]Rosetta[/name_f]? Could it work in the 21st century? I’m not sure if it’s considered dated or not.
I know about the connection to the [name_f]Rosetta[/name_f] [name_m]Stone[/name_m], but that doesn’t bother me (in fact, it’s a neat connection).
I like that it’s got the “etta” ending which I’m such a suckered for (I see you, [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f]).
Not my favourite, but perfectly usable. [name_f]Rosetta[/name_f] [name_m]Stone[/name_m] was definitely my first thought, but if that doesn’t bother you, I say go for it!
Rosetta is pretty! It seems quite frilly to me, between the flowery beginning and the feminine “etta,” but its unexpectedness and that “z” sound give it a bit of attitude as well. I don’t think it is too dated to use, and the [name_f]Rosetta[/name_f] [name_m]Stone[/name_m] association is pretty cool.
My immediate thought was [name_m]Stone[/name_m] however if that connection doesn’t put you off and I agree it’s not a negative association at all then I think it’s a great choice. [name_f]Rosetta[/name_f] is a pretty ‘[name_f]Rose[/name_f]’ name it’s a quirky vintage choice. I like that you get the nickname [name_f]Etta[/name_f] along with [name_f]Rosie[/name_f]. Great choice.
I like [name_f]Rosetta[/name_f], but I am a sucker for -etta endings, I much prefer [name_f]Rosetta[/name_f] to [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosalia[/name_f].
Then again it’s not my favourite -etta name. It could definitely work though!
I like it! I think the connection to the [name_f]Rosetta[/name_f] stone is cool since I like history and languages myself. [name_f]Rosette[/name_f] is pretty too.
