I started liking [name_u]Rune[/name_u] as a MN for boys years ago, and that has recently evolved into liking [name_f]Runa[/name_f]. I think it’s familiar enough to fit right in with other shorter girl names (Ruby, [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_f]Luna[/name_f], [name_f]Rose[/name_f], etc) without being quite as common.
LOVE! [name_f]Runa[/name_f] is so powerful and historic. It sounds like the name of a superhero or of a famous woman in history. I love that it have [name_u]Rune[/name_u] in it, provides a lot of beautiful and strong imagery. [name_u]Rue[/name_u] would be an adorable nickname too!
I haven’t heard it in my memory banks, but now I like it!
[name_f]Runa[/name_f] is gorgeous! Its very beautiful and is refreshing in a sea of Stellas, and Lunas. For a middle name I would suggest [name_f]Marigold[/name_f], [name_f]Natalia[/name_f], Noel/Noelle.
[name_f]Runa[/name_f] has a deep and interesting vibe!

I really like it. It has a deep, earthy, sophisticated vibe, a bit inscrutable, but also straightforward in spelling and pronunciation. A grown-up, intelligent name. Ru is great as a short form.
I also like it, only worry it may be constantly mistaken for [name_f]Luna[/name_f]. R and L are easily conflated.
I adore it, but I’m extremely biased as my daughter’s name is [name_u]Rune[/name_u]. (; It has a wonderful magical vibe that really grabs you right away. [name_f]Runa[/name_f] is lovely!
