What are you thoughts on the name Rutledge for a boy? My husband and I like it for a potential second son and brother to [name]Archer[/name].
Is it too much of a mouthful for a long three-syllable last name?

I’m not a fan, but mostly because this is my brother’s best friends last name. He is also married to a woman who my brother and I grew up with. Anyway, just because of that, I can’t really think of it as a first name. And it does sound like it would be a bit of a mouth full with a 3 syllable last name. I wish I could offer suggestions, but I have a really hard time with boys names.
I actually do think it’s too much of a mouthful… although Ledger is a nice nickname. Or you could just do Ledger

It’s an okay name, I think the “rut” in the first syllable is what throws me. Ledger is a nice suggestion.
