Currently, have a new crush on [name_m]Samson[/name_m] and curious what any of your thoughts and first impressions are.
Too biblical or no (not religious)? Too outdated? Would you prefer in the first or middle spot? It has that cozy feeling I like with good nn possibilities ([name_u]Sam[/name_u], [name_u]Sammy[/name_u], [name_u]Sonny[/name_u]) and feels like it could be due for a comeback.
I’m not familiar with the Biblical story that others will associate with [name_m]Samson[/name_m], but I like it quite a bit! I love the nn [name_u]Sam[/name_u] and [name_m]Samson[/name_m] is a great way to get there or to honor a [name_u]Sam[/name_u] as a mn.
I like [name_m]Samson[/name_m] a lot as an alternative to [name_m]Samuel[/name_m]! It sounds much fresher to me. I love the nicknames [name_u]Sam[/name_u] or [name_u]Sonny[/name_u] too.
While I am familiar with the Bible association, I dont think it’s too strong. It just seems like a fresher version of [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] to me. I wouldnt say it’s as biblically tied as [name_u]Noah[/name_u] or [name_m]Jonah[/name_m]
I really love [name_m]Samson[/name_m]. I think it’s a great “[name_u]Sam[/name_u]” alternative to [name_m]Samuel[/name_m]. I like that it’s uncommon, but familiar.
I don’t think it’s “too religious”, but even if it does remind people of the Biblical character, it’s a story of humility, forgiveness, and strength so definitely not a bad connotation.
I really like [name_m]Samson[/name_m] and agree is a nice alternative to [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] (although I love [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] too). I don’t think it’s too religious!
I really like [name_m]Samson[/name_m]! I like it more than [name_m]Samuel[/name_m], it’s less common and also has great nn options. I would use it as a first or middle only it doesn’t work with my surname (ends in -son )
I feel like it might be a little difficult to wear, bearing in mind the Biblical story and all. It’s technically usable, but I much prefer [name_m]Simeon[/name_m] or [name_m]Solomon[/name_m].
It’s a good name but I heavily associate it with draft horses (not really even sure why?) [name_m]Worth[/name_m] using though, I don’t think it’s too Biblical.
