First impressions? Opinions? Favorites? Any that feel like a sib set? What about middle names [name_u]Eden[/name_u], [name_f]Claire[/name_f], or [name_f]Joy[/name_f]? Does [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] stand out due to being much more popular than the rest? Any thoughts / opinions welcome!
amelia is lovely! i adore her sweet melodic sound.
iris is my second favorite! she’s floral yet sturdy.
piper is sparky and sweet
kennedy and emerson i love, but prefer for boys xx
amelia + iris would make a beautiful sibset
favorite middles -
amelia joy
iris claire
piper eden
hadley claire
kennedy joy
emerson eden - love the alliteration!
amelia doesn’t stand out because she’s classic, more so than piper or hadley or kennedy or emerson. those four go well together, then amelia and iris separately.
I see them as two sets, following above: [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and Iris; and then [name_u]Hadley[/name_u], [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] and [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u], with [name_u]Piper[/name_u] just about straddling both. I especially like [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f] & [name_u]Piper[/name_u], they’re my style, while the others feel more southern USA, sporty gal/unisex etc. To make them more cohesive (from my POV), I would have:
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] - It’s a lovely name (classic, lovely flow, great nn options),
but I’ve known so many and it feels a little… heavy?
[name_u]Kennedy[/name_u] - Very strongly connected to the [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u] family in my head, but it’s a cool name; sleek, streamlined and kickass
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] - Yes, yes, yes. I adore [name_f]Iris[/name_f] - short, strong, elegant and floral. [name_u]Will[/name_u] be a definite contender if I ever have a daughter!
[name_u]Emerson[/name_u] - Not a fan of ‘-son’ names for girls but this is probably my favourite, nn [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] is adorable
[name_u]Hadley[/name_u] - Not my style but I do like it; sounds fun, down to earth and approachable
[name_u]Piper[/name_u] - This is one I feel a bit ‘meh’ about; it’s a bright, sweet, pretty name, but even though it’s not that common I feel like it’s everywhere I go
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] ~ nice enough, feels a little saccharine to me, overused
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] ~ stunning, a perfect combination of modern boho nature name and old lady nostalgic charm
[name_u]Piper[/name_u] ~ tomboyish and sparky, bright red
[name_u]Hadley[/name_u] ~ tailored and unisex, I’m pretty neutral towards it
[name_u]Kennedy[/name_u] ~ very American! Sporty and preppy
[name_u]Emerson[/name_u] ~ kind of a contemporary, unisex version of the classic [name_f]Em[/name_f]- names, I don’t love it for a girl personally
I feel like [name_u]Piper[/name_u], [name_u]Hadley[/name_u], [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] and [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u] fit together stylistically and the others are outliers, but my favourite is [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] are okay together.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f]! I really like [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u] too.
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] is pretty but feels overused, in my opinion. It’s definitely the name I’ve seen used the most for new baby girls. [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] as well.
I love [name_u]Piper[/name_u], like [name_u]Hadley[/name_u], [name_f]Iris[/name_f], and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], and and am not a huge fan of [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u] and [name_u]Emerson[/name_u].
[name_u]Piper[/name_u] [name_f]Joy[/name_f]
[name_u]Hadley[/name_u] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f]
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_u]Eden[/name_u]
[name_u]Kennedy[/name_u] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_u]Emerson[/name_u] [name_f]Joy[/name_f]
For sibsets I wouldn’t pair [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u] or [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] with [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] or [name_f]Iris[/name_f] because [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f] are more classic and feminine so [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u] and [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] would feel more like boys names in that set and I wouldn’t pair [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u] and [name_u]Hadley[/name_u] together because they feel very rhymey. Other than that, I think they go great as siblings in a number of different combos [name_u]Piper[/name_u], [name_u]Hadley[/name_u], [name_f]Iris[/name_f], and Amelia/Piper, [name_u]Hadley[/name_u], and Emerson/Piper, [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u], and Emerson/any of those three groups paired up into smaller sets.
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] is soft and sweet but quite common nowadays.
I really love the sound of [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u], but I’m hesitant on the Presidential connection.
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] is that sweet spot of familiar but not too common and really sweet and versatile.
[name_u]Emerson[/name_u] is nice in theory but falls a bit flat for me I’m afraid. I think I prefer it on a boy.
[name_u]Hadley[/name_u] is cutesy yet preppy and new-age.
[name_u]Piper[/name_u] I cannot imagine on anyone above the age of five.
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] stand out because they could almost be someone of any age, whereas all of the others seem very young. I think [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u], [name_u]Emerson[/name_u], & [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] would make a nice set, as well as [name_f]Iris[/name_f] & [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], and [name_u]Hadley[/name_u] & [name_u]Piper[/name_u].
I like [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f]. [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] is probably overused, what about [name_f]Emilia[/name_f]? [name_f]Iris[/name_f] is beautiful. The others are not names I would choose, but out of the three, [name_u]Piper[/name_u] is the best.
