Thoughts on Slate?

Our baby boy is due in [name_u]March[/name_u], and we plan on naming him [name_u]Slate[/name_u].

So I’m just curious- what comes to mind when you hear the name [name_u]Slate[/name_u] (besides the obvious, literal definitions of the word slate)? What kind of boy/man do you see him as?

I personally am not a fan of it. It doesn’t feel like a real name, but if you like it then fair enough.

When I hear [name_u]Slate[/name_u], I think of roofs on houses. Like slate tiles. I cannot imagine it on a child.
