I really would love to use them but I’m just wondering if they are best as nicknames or if they can work well as a full first name.
What do you think?
I don’t mind Sphynx but I think both of these would make great nicknames or middles.
Spencer nn Sphinx would be interesting
The first thing that came to mind when I heard Sphynx was [name_m]Lynx[/name_m], and for Benga, I thought of a Bengal cat/tiger. Although, I think both Sphynx and Benga would make lovely middle names or nicknames.
I don’t personally feel like they’d work (or be appreciated by the child as they grew older) as first names but they’d be really great and creative nicknames. Some suggestions:
Sphynx:
[name_u]Spencer[/name_u] (as pp suggested)
[name_m]Sampson[/name_m]
[name_m]Shepherd[/name_m]
Maybe use a name with SP in and use a name like [name_m]Nixon[/name_m] to get the NX.
The only suggestion I have for Benga is [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] which I think would work really well.
