Thoughts on Susannah?

I’m considering this name, in honor of a family member named [name_f]Susan[/name_f]. I’d appreciate thoughts on this name, good and bad. I tend to like classic, not so common types of names. Any opinions on good middle names? Thanks so much to everyone!

I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Susannah[/name_f]! It’s a happy, sunny, classic name. Plus, it’s underused.

I think [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] is fantastic and deserves more use! I’ve met two Susannahs, one in her early twenties and the other around ten years old, and both wore the name very well, albeit differently. It’s really versatile.

I like the suggestion of [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Camille[/name_f]!

Thanks for the opinions! [name_f]Glad[/name_f] to know I’m not the only one who enjoys this name.

I adore this name as well and really pushed for it with this pregnancy, but couldn’t convince my SO. I especially love the nickname Susu/[name_f]Zuzu[/name_f] from It’s A Wonderful Life.
I think [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is a beautiful, strong, feminine name if you’re ok with a lengthier middle. Otherwise I agree with choosing a short & sweet one syllable middle to go with it.

[name_f]Susannah[/name_f] is beautiful.

What about:

[name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]
[name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Megan[/name_f]
[name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]
[name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_u]Brooke[/name_u]
[name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Jayne[/name_f]

I know two, though they spelled it [name_f]Suzanna[/name_f]. One is a grandmother, and the other a girl in her early teens. They wear it well imo, and i think the name is just beautiful.

I actually really like [name_f]Susannah[/name_f]!

I do immediately go into a rendition of “Oh! [name_f]Susannah[/name_f]” but that’s not a horrible song.

I actually really enjoy [name_f]Susannah[/name_f], it’s a breath of fresh air. I happily sing “Oh [name_f]Susannah[/name_f]!” in my head

I like the sound of it a lot! Irrationally, I dislike the “H” on the end a lot, and I don’t even know why, but maybe I dislike them in general, because I prefer [name_f]Lila[/name_f] to [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] and [name_f]Nora[/name_f] to [name_f]Norah[/name_f], too? At least, I think I do. I waffle between [name_f]Nora[/name_f] and [name_f]Norah[/name_f] haha.

I have a coworker named [name_f]Susan[/name_f] nn [name_f]Sue[/name_f] who I call [name_f]Susanna[/name_f] almost exclusively–I have this weird thing of lengthening people’s names for “nicknames” instead of shortening them–and I just love saying [name_f]Susanna[/name_f]. It’s so beautiful and flows off the tongue so well. I’m not sure what I’d do for a combo, but I love [name_f]Susanna[/name_f]'s nns, too–[name_f]Zuzu[/name_f], [name_f]Sosie[/name_f], [name_f]Zanna[/name_f], and [name_f]Annie[/name_f] in particular! I’d love to meet a little [name_f]Susanna[/name_f].

Taking a few stabs at a combo:

[name_f]Susanna/name_f [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]
[name_f]Susanna/name_f [name_f]Helene[/name_f]
[name_f]Susanna/name_f [name_f]Lilac[/name_f] (maybe too floral, as [name_f]Susanna[/name_f] means “lily”?)
[name_f]Susanna/name_f [name_f]Margo[/name_f]
[name_f]Susanna/name_f [name_f]Giselle[/name_f]
[name_f]Susanna/name_f [name_f]Zoe[/name_f]

Good luck!

I absolutely love [name_f]Susannah[/name_f]! Classic, and so cute. And lots of nickname potential!

I love [name_f]Susan[/name_f], [name_f]Susanne[/name_f], [name_f]Sue[/name_f], and [name_f]Suzanne[/name_f].

[name_f]Susannah[/name_f] is pretty, though not my favorite.
