Right now [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] has been relegated to my guilty pleasure names list. I think it sounds lovely and would be sweet on a girl but I have gotten overwhelmingly negative feedback from family and friends. What do you think of the name [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f]?
It’s lovely name.
I am not a huge fan of it. I can’t see it on a grown woman, sorry.
I quite like it, and I love the nn [name_f]Lula[/name_f]! but it doesn’t age to well… would be a cute middle but
I like it and I think it’s a nice choice. A lot of people will find it perhaps childish sounding though because of the loo-luh sound. No sure why, but those sounds bring to mind little girls.
I love [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] with the nn [name_u]Tally[/name_u].
The only [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] I’ve ever known was a 90-year old lady, she was lovely and wore the name well.
[name_f]Talullah[/name_f] is in the odd position of being low ranking in official lists but in my experience, common in certain upper middle circles, so it’s chosen for being unusual but all instances of it are clustered in one group. I know two of them, both thought they were being very unique. I know of two more second hand.
I really don’t think it will age well either.
I think it’s a wonderful, fun and unique name. Very pretty, and definitely something I would’ve liked to have had.
I agree with this. [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] will age just fine! People are naming their children [name_u]River[/name_u] and Lakyn - I personally cannot imagine a grandpa [name_u]River[/name_u] or grandma Lakyn… but grandma [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f], yep! (No offense to anyone who has used [name_u]River[/name_u] or Lakyn, they are fine names and I just used them as an example.)
It’s my #2 favorite. [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] is a controversial name and I just don’t understand the hatred. I’ve heard multiple people call it ugly. None of my friends or family like it but I still don’t care. My favorite nicknames are Tallu and [name_f]Tu[/name_f]
It’s crazy that people say it’s childish/cutesy/won’t age well, yet most people’s only association is the actress, [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] Bankhead.
