What are your thoughts on the name Bryn? Do you prefer it for a boy or a girl? TIA
I prefer [name_u]Bryn[/name_u] for a girl, I’ve only ever seen it spelled [name_f]Brynn[/name_f], but I love it either way and it’s on my long list
[name_u]Bryn[/name_u] is lovely! Although I generally like it on both genders, [name_u]Bryn[/name_u] is my preferred spelling for a boy while [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] is more feminine to me. Works either way though!
[name_u]Bryn[/name_u] isn’t my style but it’s a perfectly nice name! I prefer it for a girl, personally, and I like the [name_u]Bryn[/name_u] spelling more than [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] for either gender.
[name_f]My[/name_f] name is [name_f]Brynn[/name_f], and I’m a girl. I prefer [name_u]Bryn[/name_u] on a boy actually, but I prefer most “feminine” names on boys. I think people familiar with the name would assume girl. However, I was constantly called [name_m]Bryan[/name_m] and [name_m]Byron[/name_m] by people reading my name throughout my life so I guess people unfamiliar with the name would assume boy. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps!
I prefer Brynn for a girl and Bryn for a boy.
Do you like you name? Personally I love the name Bryn but it would be nice to hear an insiders perspective!
I do like my name! It’s not my personal style and I wouldn’t name my own daughter [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] but it fits me and I love that it’s uncommon. Although now it is getting much more common compared to when I was born. The only downside would be that 9/10 people mispronounce it. It doesn’t bother me much anymore, I just make jokes about it but it used to. With substitute teachers, starbucks baristas calling the name for the order, or anyone reading it out loud without knowing me, I’d say 9/10 times they mispronounce it. They usually say “brine” or “brian”. When I tell someone my name they usually say “Brit? “Bree?” before getting it. I really do like it for me though and I wouldn’t change it!
I’ll also add that I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on my name my whole life
I really like [name_u]Bryn[/name_u] for a boy, [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] for a girl
eh, it’s not my cup of tea. for a boy it feels a bit dated, and i just can’t picture it on a girl full stop.
