I’ve only recently “noticed” the name if you know what I mean and I’m beginning to really like it. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you guys think of it more as a middle name to accompany a shorter first name? Or do you also like it as a first name? The only trouble I have with it is that it feels a bit too long which is strange because it’s 3 syllables and I like a few 4 syllable names and don’t feel like they’re too long (i.e. [name_m]Leonardo[/name_m], [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], [name_f]Victoria[/name_f]).
I think you’d shorten it for a little girl anyway - [name_f]Evie[/name_f], [name_f]Gigi[/name_f], [name_f]Vivi[/name_f]?

I like it as a first or middle name. As far as shortening it goes, I’ve probably lean toward [name_f]Evie[/name_f]. [name_f]Vivi[/name_f] is ok, too. I’ve never been a big fan of [name_f]Gigi[/name_f]. I also like [name_f]Genny[/name_f]/Ginny.
So my favourite girls name is [name_f]Rose[/name_f] but it’s been used by people in my social circle so I felt I couldn’t use [name_f]Rose[/name_f] or her variants. I’ve changed my mind on this after discussing it at length with berries & friends now [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]/Rose is my top contender. But when I was having my doubts [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] was definitely a runner up along with [name_f]Eloise[/name_f]. [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] is now my second choice if this baby is a girl it’s just such a great name.
Genevieve is elegant, classy and beyond beautiful. [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] is such a pretty choice with a range of great nicknames [name_f]Evie[/name_f] being my favourite. I think [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] is stunning!
Sooo, soo gorgeous! You definitely don’t have to shorten it at all. I have a similar name (albeit, much less common) and have never gone by a nickname, even when I was little. [name_f]Gigi[/name_f] and [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] are my personal favourite nicknames for [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f].
It’s my own name and I love. Hate the nicknames [name_f]Evie[/name_f], [name_f]Gigi[/name_f] and [name_f]Vivi[/name_f] though.

I adore it! I dont love any of the ‘g’ nicknames besides [name_f]Ginny[/name_f], I much prefer [name_f]Eve[/name_f], [name_f]Evie[/name_f], Vie, [name_f]Vivi[/name_f] and [name_f]Viva[/name_f].
