Thoughts on the name Gia?

Having a GIRL after having 2 boys! Brothers names are [name_m]Silas[/name_m] and [name_m]Eamon[/name_m]. I’ve been attached to the name [name_f]Gia[/name_f] before we new the gender of our 2nd son! [name_f]My[/name_f] husband isn’t 100% sold on it, which is making me second guess it. I honestly haven’t heard any other names that appeal me as much. Looking for some thoughts on the name [name_f]Gia[/name_f]?

I quite like the name.

I think it goes great with your boys’ names! I haven’t heard it much, which makes it all the more special!

[name_u]Love[/name_u] it! Pretty and spunky.

I think [name_f]Gia[/name_f] is an awesome name. It makes me think of [name_f]Gia[/name_f] Carangi, an American model from the 70s/80s. I love it as a stand-alone name but if your husband isn’t sure about it maybe he’d like [name_f]Giselle[/name_f] nn [name_f]Gia[/name_f]? Or [name_f]Gianna[/name_f]?

Oooo! @TDFM [name_f]Giselle[/name_f] is lovely! I second that suggestion!

[name_f]Gia[/name_f] is lovely- light, sweet and versatile.

[name_f]Georgia[/name_f] nn [name_f]Gia[/name_f] could be an option if your husband isnt sure

I like it! It’s light, bright and funky, but feels complete enough to be a full name for an adult as well as a child.

[name_f]Gia[/name_f] is beautiful! You also may like [name_f]Gianna[/name_f] if your husband’s unsure of it as a standalone.

I’ve always loved the name [name_f]Gia[/name_f] too, if he doesn’t like [name_f]Gia[/name_f] on it’s own you can always suggest full names which have [name_f]Gia[/name_f] as a nick name like [name_f]Gianna[/name_f], [name_f]Giovanna[/name_f]

Another spelling is [name_f]Jiya[/name_f] which is the Hindi version, still said the same but maybe he might like a different spelling of it more?

I know a [name_f]Gia[/name_f], short for [name_f]Virginia[/name_f]. I love it.

Ooh, I like [name_f]Gia[/name_f]! Unexpected but feels familiar, short and sweet but packs a lot of sound into those three letters–a winner all around, in my book! [name_u]Love[/name_u] @Greyblue’s suggestion of [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] as a possible longer form if having one would appeal to you. I also think [name_f]Gia[/name_f] could work as a nickname for [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] or for [name_f]Julia[/name_f]/[name_f]Juliana[/name_f]/etc. Or any “G” name, if you’re willing to stretch a little!

[name_u]Love[/name_u] it! If you wanted a longer name, [name_f]Giovanna[/name_f], [name_f]Gisella[/name_f], [name_f]Gianna[/name_f], or even [name_f]Jada[/name_f] would work!

[name_f]Gia[/name_f] is a really sweet name! I love @greyblue’s suggestion of [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] and @IrinaNicolaStrong’s suggestion of [name_f]Giovanna[/name_f].
[name_f]Georgiana[/name_f], [name_f]Gabriella[/name_f], [name_f]Gillian[/name_f], [name_f]Giada[/name_f], [name_f]Giulia[/name_f], [name_f]Geneva[/name_f], [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f], [name_f]Evangelina[/name_f], [name_f]Eugenia[/name_f], [name_f]Angelina[/name_f] and could also work as full names.

Seems a bit incomplete to me honestly. Not sure why as [name_f]Mia[/name_f] is fine

I like the other poster’s suggestion of [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] with [name_f]Gia[/name_f] as a nickname! It would go fantastically with [name_m]Silas[/name_m] and [name_m]Eamon[/name_m].

First of all, I absolutely adore you boys’ names! They’re so handsome. [name_f]Gia[/name_f] is a beautiful girl’s name, I’d love to see it around more often. I also think that it goes well with your boys’ names, they’re all quirky and fun but still straightforward. If you’re worried about it sounding incomplete then [name_f]Giselle[/name_f] is my favorite long form, both on its own and with [name_m]Silas[/name_m] and [name_m]Eamon[/name_m], but I really don’t think that [name_f]Gia[/name_f] needs to be a nickname.
