I saw a cashier at Target today with the name [name_f]Kadie[/name_f]. Of course when I read it I went straight to mean girls and wanted to pronounce it “Caddy” I guess I never realized that [name_f]Katie[/name_f] can sometimes sound like it’s pronounced with hard D and not a T. I’m just curious as to what other people think of common names with unusual spellings.
I think it’s really cute.
I dont like common names with unusual names but [name_f]Kadie[/name_f] is cute
I dont think it could stand on its own like [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] and [name_f]Katie[/name_f] can though
In my accent [name_f]Katie[/name_f] would never be pronounced with a D but I can see how [name_f]Katie[/name_f] and [name_f]Kadie[/name_f] would sound alike in American accents.
Usually I prefer the traditional spellings of names. I find them to have more charm and gravitas.
First I thought it was pronounced Caddy, but I like it! [name_f]Katie[/name_f] is extremely sweet and I think there’s no spelling that takes the magic out of it, I really like [name_f]Kadie[/name_f].
