I really like the shortness of this name, which is unusual for me since I’m usually a fan of long names with nicknames. But idk, there’s something so sharp and peppy about [name_f]Kit[/name_f]. It’s also an unexpected nature name, since fox pups are called kits. What do y’all think?
I think [name_u]Kit[/name_u] is a good name. Probably not one I would use myself as I’m more a fan of [name_f]Kate[/name_f] (I’m a Lost fan). It’s short and peppy and I can imagine a spunky girl with that name!
On a girl it definitely reminds of [name_u]Kit[/name_u] Kittredge, the American Girl, so I so see a tomboyish girl with extra spunk.
I like it and I definitely think it’s wearable and seems both classic and modern.
[name_u]Kit[/name_u] is spunky and adorable…love it. I have nothing against nickname names, adore/love lots of them, but [name_u]Kit[/name_u] is a bit too nicknamey for me. I personally would use it as a middle name, like I did with [name_f]Birdie[/name_f] ([name_f]Sophie[/name_f] would be called [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] and [name_f]Birdie[/name_f]).
[name_u]Kit[/name_u] is nice. It reminds of A Series Of Unfortunate Events, which is a wonderful association to me.
[name_u]Kit[/name_u] will forever remind me of A league of Their Own I think it’s usable.
I adore [name_u]Kit[/name_u]! (On a boy, too.) For a girl, I agree is spunky and sweet. But I would definitely use it as a nn.
Me, too:) I was obsessed with [name_u]Kit[/name_u] as a little girl, moreso than any of the others. She was my third [name_f]AG[/name_f] doll, and, oh, I loved her to pieces.
I love it on a boy, but I don’t think it’s too bad for a girl.
Cute and spunky! I adore [name_u]Kit[/name_u]!
[name_u]Kit[/name_u] Kittredge is what immediately comes to mind for me too. I was obsessed with American Girl dolls growing up though and [name_u]Kit[/name_u] was my favourite. It definitely has a vintage feel for me because of that, and it has that somewhat classic connection through [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]. I prefer it as a nickname, but I do like it.
I really like it on any gender.
It’s definitely a nickname to me.
As a stand-alone, though, I prefer it to many other “nicknames as full names”.
I think its lovely. Short and spunky, definitely wearable.
[name_u]Kit[/name_u] is adorable and spunky and reminds me of the American girl. I think [name_u]Kit[/name_u] is totally usable as a stand-alone name of alternative to [name_f]Kate[/name_f].
