My husband and I will be TTC next month and lately our favorite car game is “Name the Children.” I have my favorites and he has his. Here are the only names he likes for girls: [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], [name_f]Daphne[/name_f], and [name_f]Leona[/name_f]. I’ve said no to [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], yes to [name_f]Daphne[/name_f], and have started to really fall for [name_f]Leona[/name_f].
So, thoughts on the name [name_f]Leona[/name_f]? Potential combos would be:
[name_f]Leona[/name_f] [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] (the full combo my husband came up with himself)
[name_f]Leona[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
[name_f]Leona[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
Please feel free to suggest any other middles as well.
Also, thoughts on [name_f]Leona[/name_f] as a potential sister name to [name_f]Olive[/name_f] (my current favorite)?
[name_f]Leona[/name_f] [name_f]Maisie[/name_f]
[name_f]Leona[/name_f] [name_u]Grey[/name_u]
[name_f]Leona[/name_f] [name_f]Beatriz[/name_f] (I think the Spanish/Portuguese version jazzes [name_f]Leona[/name_f] up a bit)
[name_f]Leona[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]
[name_f]Leona[/name_f] [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] is too much of a choppy mouthful.
I love [name_f]Leona[/name_f] and [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] too - both gorgeous names, why not pair those together?
I love [name_f]Leona[/name_f], [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], and [name_f]Daphne[/name_f]! I detest [name_f]Olive[/name_f]. [name_f]Leona[/name_f] [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] is lovely.
[name_f]Leona[/name_f] is such a great name, [name_f]Leona[/name_f] [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] would be my favourite from your list.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] the name [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] as well! [name_f]Leona[/name_f], [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] & [name_f]Olive[/name_f] would all sound really lovely together.
I could definitely see us with a [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] and [name_f]Leona[/name_f]. Another poster suggested [name_f]Daphne[/name_f], [name_f]Leona[/name_f], and [name_f]Olive[/name_f], which I also love. I agree that [name_f]Leona[/name_f] [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] is a little too -l heavy.
I like [name_f]Leona[/name_f] [name_u]Eloise[/name_u]. Personally I think [name_f]Leona[/name_f] and [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] sound better as a sibset than [name_f]Leona[/name_f] and [name_f]Olive[/name_f], although I prefer [name_f]Olive[/name_f] to [name_f]Daphne[/name_f].
I love the name [name_f]Leona[/name_f]. I use it as a nickname for my name sometimes. Maybe I can’t be objective
I really liked esita’s suggestion of [name_f]Leona[/name_f] [name_f]Beatriz[/name_f]. It sounds exotic and cute. I would suggest [name_f]Leona[/name_f] [name_f]Christine[/name_f] or [name_f]Leona[/name_f] [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] but I think that [name_f]Leona[/name_f] [name_f]Beatriz[/name_f] sounds better
I really like [name_f]Leona[/name_f] - I love that it’s not very common, but quite familiar. And I think it’s cute with [name_f]Olive[/name_f]. Not a big fan of [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] (although could be cute as a middle for [name_f]Leona[/name_f]) or [name_f]Daphne[/name_f].
[name_u]Eloise[/name_u] is a personal favorite of mine, but not sure about the flow of [name_f]Leona[/name_f] [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] - it’s a lot of that L and O sound. [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] and [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] just don’t do much for me personally. But wow, I never realized [name_f]Leona[/name_f] would be such a tough one to find a suitable middle for! It’s tough to find a name that doesn’t mimic the sound of the first name - it’s not a name with a ton of letters, but WOW are there a lot of sounds packed in there!
I did notice that I tended to like the single-syllable and/or more unisex names paired with [name_f]Leona[/name_f] best, but I threw some other longer and more feminine names in there as well (one of my favorites of those is [name_f]Leona[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f], I think it has such a nice ring to it).
