Thoughts on the name Nico for a girl? Please help!

We are having a girl in [name_u]November[/name_u] and my husband and I have always loved the name [name_u]Nico[/name_u] for a girl (inspired by the [name_m]German[/name_m] singer from the 60s/70s), but now I’m concerned that it’s TOO boyish.

We don’t like anything overly feminine or flowery in terms of girl names-- everything on our list is a bit more on the gender neutral side. We also like very uncommon, unique, off-beat girls names in general.
A few more on our list include: [name_f]Indie[/name_f] (short for [name_u]Indigo[/name_u]), [name_u]Remi[/name_u], or [name_u]London[/name_u].

Her middle name will definitely be [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], so it would be [name_u]Nico[/name_u] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] ____.

Her brother’s name is [name_m]Julian[/name_m].

What are your general opinions on the name [name_u]Nico[/name_u] for a girl?

I think it sounds super cute, I think it is totally doable!

It’s cute but you could use it as a nickname. What do you think of [name_f]Nicole[/name_f]/[name_u]Nicola[/name_u] with nn [name_u]Nico[/name_u]? Or there is [name_f]Nica[/name_f] which sounds a bit more feminine. I know a [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] who goes by [name_f]Nica[/name_f] and I think it’s super cute!

I think [name_u]Nico[/name_u] for a girl is quite appealing - unusual, but I think it would work. A great combo with [name_f]Clementine[/name_f].

I know a toddler-age [name_u]Nico[/name_u] and she’s absolutely adorable and carries the name off brilliantly! I think it’s really wearable on a girl.
