[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there - we are expecting our second daughter in a few months and looking for a name that isn’t super common but not too out there. For girls, we like names that tend to be more gender neutral or surnames. We live in the south and love names that are chic/preppy vs trendy or traditional.
We have recently been liking the name “[name_u]Pace[/name_u]”. There aren’t many people with this name that I can find so would appreciate some feedback. Our other daughter is named [name_u]Parker[/name_u], which we love and get tons of compliments on. Her middle name is [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. I think [name_u]Parker[/name_u] and [name_u]Pace[/name_u] has a nice ring to it.
Our other top names include [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u], [name_u]Lane[/name_u] and [name_m]Miller[/name_m] (nn could be [name_f]Millie[/name_f]).
Thank you!
I know a little girl who has [name_u]Pace[/name_u] as one of her middles. It’s her mother’s maiden name. I quite like it; it brings to mind the Italian word “pace” (PACH-ay), meaning “peace”.
[name_u]Parker[/name_u] and [name_u]Pace[/name_u] do sound lovely together. Are you planning on having more children? Would you feel limited to P names if so?
A few other surnamey suggestions, just in case:
[name_m]Sayer[/name_m]
[name_u]Sutton[/name_u]
[name_u]Lake[/name_u]
[name_u]Ellis[/name_u]
[name_f]Maven[/name_f]
[name_u]Lennox[/name_u]
[name_u]Fifer[/name_u]
[name_u]Paxton[/name_u]
[name_u]Emmet[/name_u]
[name_m]Cole[/name_m]
[name_u]Hollis[/name_u]
[name_f]Briar[/name_f]
[name_u]Winter[/name_u]
[name_u]Shea[/name_u]/[name_u]Shay[/name_u]
I don’t mind [name_u]Pace[/name_u] on a girl, but the two children I know with the name are both boys. [name_u]Parker[/name_u] and [name_u]Pace[/name_u] do sound lovely though.
My other favourite from your options is [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u]!
[name_u]Pace[/name_u] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] and [name_u]Parker[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] would make for a darling sibset though, imo.
I really do like [name_u]Pace[/name_u]. It reminds me of [name_f]Pacey[/name_f] from [name_m]Dawson[/name_m]'s Creek. I agree with pp about thinking about whether you’d feel committed to picking another ‘P’ name if you wanted to have more children.
Other ideas:
[name_u]Mason[/name_u]/[name_m]Masen[/name_m]
[name_u]Harper[/name_u]
[name_u]Flynn[/name_u]
[name_f]Delta[/name_f]
[name_u]Jace[/name_u]
[name_u]Arden[/name_u]
[name_u]River[/name_u]
[name_u]Devon[/name_u]
[name_u]Sage[/name_u]
Thanks so much for the thoughts so far! We will likely only have the two, so not as concerned about sticking with a “P” name for any others - but great point. Thanks for the other suggestions as well - several great ones!
