Oh! Several of your names are on my own list!

  • [name_m]Alec[/name_m]/alek - cute and different but will probably get mixed in with all of the [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]'s and [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f]'s
  • [name_m]Aaron[/name_m] - a bit dated to me, all of the [name_m]Aaron[/name_m]'s I know are around 30 and so I think soon this will be considered a “dad’s” name
  • [name_u]Tony[/name_u] - super dated
  • [name_m]Dominic[/name_m](nn nick) - not really my style but it’s cute, would prefer [name_u]Nico[/name_u] as the nickname
  • [name_m]Beau[/name_m](nn bo) - love this one!
  • [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] - very cute! Becoming popular though, if that’s an issue to you
  • [name_m]Montgomery[/name_m](nn monty) - very cute and unique
  • [name_u]Dean[/name_u] - love this one! So unique and yet immediately recognizable. And the [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_u]Dean[/name_u] reference is a plus in my book
  • [name_m]Boone[/name_m] - I love it! But be warned almost no one else on NB does
  • john/jack(nn [name_u]Jacky[/name_u]) - I find this boring and overdone
  • [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] - I prefer [name_m]Weston[/name_m]
  • [name_m]Damon[/name_m] - don’t like this at all
  • [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] - somewhat boring but nice enough I suppose
  • [name_m]Colton[/name_m](nn colt) - loathe [name_m]Colton[/name_m] but like [name_m]Colt[/name_m] (it’s my dog’s name!)
  • [name_m]Conway[/name_m] - very cute! Might add this to my own list
  • [name_m]Silas[/name_m] - absolutely adore it! It’s a NB favorite for sure
  • [name_m]McCoy[/name_m] - I like it, but it’s not necessarily the best reference (hayfields and mccoys), but if [name_m]Romeo[/name_m] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] are acceptable I don’t see why this shouldn’t be
  • [name_u]Reed[/name_u] - I like it! I also like the [name_u]Reid[/name_u] spelling but prefer [name_u]Reed[/name_u] for its nature connection

[name_m]Alec[/name_m]/[name_u]Alek[/name_u] - classy nickname for [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]/Aleksander, but insubstantial on its own
[name_m]Aaron[/name_m] - A little dated, but you could get away with it. A solid Biblical choice.
[name_u]Tony[/name_u] - I kinda like it, but also nickname-y.
[name_m]Dominic[/name_m] nn [name_u]Nick[/name_u] - sounds stuffy and European. Reminds me of dominoes.
[name_m]Beau[/name_m] - Tease-worthy once he reaches middle school - the first half of “beautiful” on a guy won’t fair well.
[name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] - Sounds unattractive to my ears.
[name_m]Montgomery[/name_m] nn [name_m]Monty[/name_m] - I love it!
[name_u]Dean[/name_u] - I really like this one as well.
[name_m]Boone[/name_m] - Another one I find unattractive.
[name_m]John[/name_m]/[name_m]Jack[/name_m](nn [name_u]Jacky[/name_u]) - Not a huge fan of [name_m]John[/name_m]. I like [name_m]Jack[/name_m], but I’m always hesitant as to its nickname-ness.
[name_m]Wesley[/name_m] - interesting.
[name_m]Damon[/name_m] - Makes me think of [name_m]Matt[/name_m] [name_m]Damon[/name_m], and misspelled [name_m]Damion[/name_m].
[name_m]Daniel[/name_m] - Not bad.
[name_m]Colton[/name_m](nn colt) - Meh.
[name_m]Conway[/name_m] - Subway, freeway…[name_m]Conway[/name_m].
[name_m]Silas[/name_m] - [name_f]Love[/name_f] it! [name_f]One[/name_f] of those awesome vintage-y names.
[name_m]McCoy[/name_m] - definitely innovative. I prefer McGill, actually.
[name_u]Reed[/name_u] - Also meh.

  • [name_m]Alec[/name_m]/alek-- I love it w/the proper spelling ([name_m]Alec[/name_m], not [name_u]Alek[/name_u]), but boys w/this name sometimes get characterized as troublemakers.
    -[name_m]Aaron[/name_m]–ok, good Biblical history
    -[name_u]Tony[/name_u]–dated
    -[name_m]Dominic[/name_m](nn nick)–like it
    -[name_m]Beau[/name_m](nn bo)–[name_m]Beau[/name_m] is pronounced ‘[name_m]Bo[/name_m]’, it’s a [name_m]French[/name_m] word for handsome.
    -[name_m]Wyatt[/name_m]–ok, but I’m not a fan of ‘W’ names ('cept for [name_u]Winslow[/name_u] & [name_m]William[/name_m])
    -[name_m]Montgomery[/name_m](nn monty)–dislike the nn
    -[name_u]Dean[/name_u]–ok, esp. as a mn
    -[name_m]Boone[/name_m]–eh
-john/jack(nn [name_u]Jacky[/name_u])–prefer [name_m]Jack[/name_m] on its own or as nn for [name_m]John[/name_m]
    -[name_m]Wesley[/name_m]–wimpy
    -[name_m]Damon[/name_m]–a bit close to demon
    -[name_m]Daniel[/name_m]–perfect
    -[name_m]Colton[/name_m](nn colt)–nice
    -[name_m]Conway[/name_m]–Twitty?
    -[name_m]Silas[/name_m]–nice
    -[name_m]McCoy[/name_m]–eh
    -[name_u]Reed[/name_u]–love it!

[name_m]Alec[/name_m] - I am a little bit biased, but this is my brother’s name, I think it is handsome and strong and is definitely substantial enough to stand on it’s own, it actually is it’s own name. However, you will always be correcting people and saying [name_m]Alec[/name_m] not [name_u]Alex[/name_u].
[name_m]Aaron[/name_m] - I like this name, I have known several [name_m]Aaron[/name_m]'s (they are all now in their mid-to-late twenties, usually very gentlemanly sweet guys)
[name_u]Tony[/name_u] - It’s okay, the first thing that comes to mind to me is [name_u]Tony[/name_u] [name_u]Danza[/name_u], I prefer [name_m]Anthony[/name_m].
[name_m]Dominic[/name_m] - This name rocks, I love [name_m]Dominic[/name_m]!
[name_m]Beau[/name_m] - I have always liked the name [name_m]Beau[/name_m], has a southern style charm to it.
[name_m]Montgomery[/name_m] - It’s okay, I don’t particularly like the nn [name_m]Monty[/name_m], but I knew a guy who went by that name who I wasn’t fond of so it’s just me I think
[name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] - Great name, classic cowboy, think [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] Earp. [name_f]Love[/name_f] it.
[name_u]Dean[/name_u] - Handsome and simple! [name_f]Love[/name_f] that it is very simple, easy to spell, easy to say, yet you won’t have five other kids in your son’s class with that name
[name_m]Boone[/name_m] - It’s okay, it’s not my favorite, but there’s nothing wrong with it
[name_m]John[/name_m]/[name_m]Jack[/name_m] - Prefer [name_m]Jack[/name_m]
[name_m]Wesley[/name_m] - Great name! Nn [name_m]Wes[/name_m] is cool if you like it
[name_m]Damon[/name_m] - I prefer [name_m]Damian[/name_m]
[name_m]Daniel[/name_m] - I know this is crazy but I have always liked [name_u]Danny[/name_u] way better than the name [name_m]Daniel[/name_m], not sure why just have always preferred it
[name_m]Colton[/name_m] - I like it! Especially like the nn [name_m]Colt[/name_m]!
[name_m]Conway[/name_m] - It sounds like a shipping company
[name_m]Silas[/name_m] - Awesome name, handsome and vintage
[name_m]McCoy[/name_m] - I think it could work
[name_u]Reed[/name_u] - This one is nice, I think I prefer as a middle name though

I like:

[name_m]Boone[/name_m]
[name_m]Jack[/name_m]
[name_m]John[/name_m]
[name_m]Beau[/name_m]
[name_m]Silas[/name_m]
[name_u]Reed[/name_u]
