[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] has made it’s way back onto my list so I’ve been coming up with some combinations.
What are your thoughts on these?
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] (I’m using the [name_u]Lou[/name_u] - EE- sah pronunciation)
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] ([name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] is a family name)
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Christine[/name_f]
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f]
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Rhea[/name_f] ([name_f]Rhea[/name_f] is a family name)
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Hanna[/name_f] (HAHN-nah) - I actually think this will be better reverse, but I don’t think I’ve get the correct pronunciation if it was. I like the simplicity of [name_f]Hana[/name_f] better. [name_f]Hana[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]? I love [name_f]Hana[/name_f] so much, but it most like will be pronounced Hah-nah. I might have to settle for [name_f]Hannah[/name_f].
Suggestions are appreciated. I’m really picky though. My combinations are in my signatures.
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] - Too much L for me in one combo. [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] and [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] would make for nice sisters, however.
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] ([name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] is a family name) - As much as I like [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], something about this combo, I don’t care for.
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Christine[/name_f] - Not my favorite, but that’s bc I am not fond of the name [name_f]Christine[/name_f]. Together they seem a little too virtuous.
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f] - Digging it.
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Rhea[/name_f] - I like the R in [name_f]Rhea[/name_f] to balance out the L sounds.
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] (kah-tah-ZHI-nah) - I’m assuming typo as I’ve never heard [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] pron. Kah-tah-zhi-nah LOL. All jokes aide, I think this combo strikes a nice vibe. Sounds like a very friendly and warm young girl.
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Hanna[/name_f] (HAHN-nah) - I’m confused on the difference between Hahn-nah and hah-nuh? They sound the same in how I say them. Either way though, I think it goes nicely with [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
My overall favorite would be [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] or [name_f]Margot[/name_f].
It was a typo. I was thinking of the name [name_f]Katarzyna[/name_f], but changed my mind because it seemed like too much name.
The first syllable is slightly different. Hahn is rhymes with con and [name_m]John[/name_m]. Hah rhymes with Ma, Pa, [name_m]Ah[/name_m]. It’s very similar to [name_f]Ana[/name_f] vs [name_f]Anna[/name_f].
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] (I’m using the [name_u]Lou[/name_u] - EE- sah pronunciation) – I like both names, but they are too “hissy” together.
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] ([name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] is a family name) – See above
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Christine[/name_f] – This combo has a great, crisp, clear feel to it, but its flow is a little clunky.
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f] – Ooh, this is perfect! [name_f]Margo[/name_f] adds some oomph and groundedness to the airy, carefree [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]. [name_f]Love[/name_f] it!
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Rhea[/name_f] ([name_f]Rhea[/name_f] is a family name) – This works, but isn’t my favorite.
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] – Nice, but too many syllables.
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Hanna[/name_f] (HAHN-nah) - This is very beautiful. Delicate and sweet.
Other ideas:
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Raine[/name_f]
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]
About the [name_f]Hana[/name_f]/[name_f]Hannah[/name_f] pronunciation thing…have you considered using [name_f]Ana[/name_f] instead? It has a very similar sound, but you are more likely to get your preferred pronunciation. I once met a girl named [name_f]Ahna[/name_f], and although I typically wouldn’t choose to tinker with a name’s spelling like that, it actually seemed to work quite well. It made her family’s preferred pronunciation seem intuitive and looked pretty and normal when she used it.
Felicity Louisa- my favourite of your combos, dainty and pretty and feminine but not too froufrou, and it flows reallyw ell
Felicity Beatrice- my second favourite, also very elegant, and lots of great historical and literary references (Princess Beatrice, Queen Victoria’s daughter, is one of my favourite historical royals)
Felicity Christine- this flows well, but I’m not fond of Christine
Felicity Margot- vintage-chic, nice pairing of fairly unusual but familiar names
Felicity Rhea- not fond of Rhea, sorry, and actually not sure whether to pronounce it- ray-ah or ree-ah?
Felicity Adelaide- also classy and with tons of history- and love the Queen Adelaide connection
Felicity Hanna- I knew a girl named Hanna who pronounced it the same way as Hannah. I’d say Hana as hah-nah… what’s the difference between hahn-nah and hah-nah anyway? I’d say those two the same
And Felicity Katarzyna would be lovely, not too much at all!
I love [name_f]Hana[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]! For me, [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] is HANN (like [name_f]Anne[/name_f] with an “H” in front)-ah, but [name_f]Hana[/name_f] is HAH-nah. Are you saying [name_f]Hanna[/name_f] like [name_f]Hannah[/name_f], then? If you like [name_f]Hanna[/name_f] prn. like [name_f]Hannah[/name_f], then I think [name_f]Hanna[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] is fine. I don’t foresee too many issues with [name_f]Hanna[/name_f]. [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Rhea[/name_f] is my favorite of your combos with [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] up front, but [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] is my second favorite. Out of all the combos you’ve listed, [name_f]Hana[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] is by far my favorite, though–I love it!
I can definitely see how it’s hissy. That’s the problem I seem to have with those three names. Nearly every name I like with them is very hissy.
I like [name_u]June[/name_u] with [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]! I had it with [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f], but swapped it out for a family name. It definitely fits my naming stye.
I’ve thought about [name_f]Ana[/name_f], but for some reason I don’t like it, it’s a bit odd considering how much I love [name_f]Hana[/name_f].
@bonfireaazalea
[name_f]Rhea[/name_f] is my grandmothers name and she uses the [name_f]REE[/name_f]-ə pronunciation. I’m planning on using that one.
There are two different pronunciations for [name_f]Hanna[/name_f]. HAHN-nah (Polish) and HAH-nah ([name_m]German[/name_m]). I would go with the Polish one because I am Polish.
I love [name_f]Katarzyna[/name_f], but chances are no one will pronounce it correctly in my family. I also love [name_f]Katarina[/name_f].
@[name_u]Ash[/name_u]
I was using the Polish pronunciation. Hah-nah is the [name_m]German[/name_m] one. I love [name_f]Hana[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] and I’m so close to adding it my combos.
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f]
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Hanna[/name_f]
[name_f]Hana[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] - love but I prefer the look of [name_f]Hanna[/name_f] to [name_f]Hana[/name_f].
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Christine[/name_f] is cute too.
My favorites are [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Margot[/name_f] and [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Rhea[/name_f].
I wanted to like [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] and [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Louisa[/name_f], but there’s something that doesn’t work in those combos…
