[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.
I’ll rank them from favorite to least favorite-
Elinor-I definitely prefer [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], but I put this as number one anyway. It’s strong & bold & feminine w/out being frilly. It’s classic & feels like it’d wear well on a girl who’s up for an adventure. [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] is the more common spelling too, so it’d make things easier if you actually considered this for a real baby.
Cleo-I like this as a nn for [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], but it’s super cute either way. Simple yet unique . Kind of spunky & artsy & fun.
Hayley-This is a name that wouldn’t typically be my style, but it’s the name of my childhood cat so I love it! I think it’s sweet & sporty & friendly. I prefer this spelling too.
Colette-I like this. It’s romantic & sleek & not terribly complicated or over done.
Eliza-This is nice. It feels kind of like a little girl running in the meadow name. Which is a good thing! It’s getting sort of popular…probably because of [name_m]Hamilton[/name_m]. I think that I prefer it as a nn for [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f].
Juliette-I prefer [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] because it just looks less frilly. But either way, it’s a really pretty romantic sounding name.
Marie-I like this as a fn. It feels a bit unexpected. Smart & kind of quiet & kind.
Zoie-I would maybe have this higher on the list if it were [name_u]Zoe[/name_u]. I’m picky about spellings! I think that it has a pleasant sound, but it’s so over done.
Georgiana-I like this. It’s interesting & feels bold & fancy. And it has lots of great nn options like [name_f]Gigi[/name_f], [name_u]Georgie[/name_u], [name_f]Ana[/name_f] or [name_f]Ani[/name_f].
Giuliana-I like this too. Definitely prefer this spelling to [name_f]Juliana[/name_f], even though it’s probably kind of complicated. I like [name_f]Georgiana[/name_f] a little bit more because it feels stronger.
Briar-I like this name more in theory than the actual sound. It’s a cool unique floral name. [name_m]Just[/name_m] can’t get into the ‘Bri’ part.
Saylor-This name really isn’t my style, but I don’t hate it. [name_f]My[/name_f] BIL & SIL recently adopted a new puppy that they named [name_u]Saylor[/name_u]. She’s basically the cutest thing I’ve ever seen, so maybe I’m learning to like it more.
Ophelia-Not sure why, but I don’t care for this. It feels too over dramatic. Getting kind of popular somehow.
[name_f]Prue[/name_f] or Rue-I prefer [name_f]Prue[/name_f], because [name_u]Rue[/name_u] just sounds sort of negative. [name_f]Prue[/name_f] has a cute sound, but seems maybe too puritan.
Genevieve-A bit too frilly in my opinion, but not a terrible name . I like the nn options of [name_f]Gigi[/name_f], [name_f]Ginny[/name_f], [name_f]Evie[/name_f] or [name_f]Vivie[/name_f].
Jade-Too modern sounding for my tastes, but not bad.
Finley-I like the sound because I love it for a boy. Feels very trendy for girls.
Yelena-I really like [name_f]Elena[/name_f] a lot, so I should like this more. [name_f]Yelena[/name_f] just looks off & I think the pronunciation is a bit confusing.
Story-It’s interesting, but just a word name that I can’t quite accept as a name yet. Maybe it’ll grow on me.
Sunday-Same as above.
Honor-This just feels too dramatic somehow & not a very pretty word in my opinion.
Aliyah-I actually am find w/the sound of this. But the spelling & just the name in general feels so trendy that I can’t get on board.
Savannah-I don’t care for this one. I really like the similar name of [name_f]Susanna[/name_f], but [name_f]Savannah[/name_f] just sounds like a really snobby [name_u]Southern[/name_u] girl. [name_f]Susanna[/name_f] sounds like a sweet [name_u]Southern[/name_u] girl.
Evangeline-Not a fan of this one at all. Ev names are so over done in general, but for whatever reason that ‘an-gelin’ sound is like nails on a chalkboard to me.
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.
